Characters who have, surprisingly, HAVE had sex

Characters who have surprisingly HAVE had sex, despite different factors suggesting otherwise (being unattractive, no charisma, too busy with a bunch of other duties, etc.)

  1. Johnny Bravo - Johnny: Despite Johnny being a constant failure with women and seemingly never being able to keep a relationship (he even gets nervous being at a women's apartment), he has been rejected from a virgin sacrifice, suggesting he did get some at one point

  2. Team Fortress 2 - Scout: Disclaimer, this probably would've been more surprising pre-Expiration Date, but I'll put it in here anyways. Spy has a voiceline saying Scout died a virgin, and I totally forgot if it plays when you dominate Scout as Spy or just on kill sometimes. But come Expiration Date in 2014, and as it turns out, Scout actually can manage to get laid! Just... not with anyone "classy". Mostly just the ones that share a passion for buckets of chicken.

Also he has kids in the comics and it turns out he is literally god's gift. Maybe the "gods gift" part kinda lessens the surprise.

  1. Real Life - Me: HOW'S THAT TASTE, VIRGINS?

Characters who have, surprisingly, never had sex

When a character that seems like they would have a least some experience turns out to have no experience at all

  1. Danganronpa V3 - Miu Iruma: Throughout her time alive, Miu is THE most sexual character in the game, making constant sex jokes and taking enjoyment in being called a cumdumpster. However, it's revealed at one point that she actually has no experience at all, and is actually quite lonely.

  2. Halo - Master Chief: This one's probably a bit more obvious for people that have more than surface level knowledge of Halo lore. While Master Chief probably seems like he could easily get some action (provided he has some downtime from constantly trying to defend humanity), the Spartan program he was kidnapped into actually erased his libido entirely, making him focus purely on combat. Considering he was kidnapped as a child, he definetly never had a chance.

EDIT: THE SHOW DON'T COUNT

A weird argument I've seen regarding the origins of the subculture

(Reposted due to typo in the title)

So sometimes I'll go on Instagram for goth content, and sometimes I'll come across reels and comments saying how Goth has "roots in Christianity" and it's like... no?

I mean, I get some of the aesthetic borrows from Christianity, but the main argument I've seen is that the subculture ITSELF has roots in Christianity. I find it odd because again, no, it's a music based subculture. I do not understand how they're arguing that Goth is rooted in Christianity.

Now of course, the people making these arguments tend to be very right-wing, and often have some pretty hateful beliefs. So it's like... why are they trying to rewrite the history of a community that has been a safe space for outcasts? What exactly do they get from injecting their own religion into it? Do they not even know what the Batcave is?

I just find this whole idea of falsely inserting your religion into the origins of a subculture very weird and I just don't understand the purpose behind it.
