#npd I’ve been working on finding all of the original Parker 51 Vacumatic colors (India Black, Cordovan Brown, Cedar Blue, Dove Gray, Buckskin Beige, Nassau Green and Yellowstone (Mustard) in the double jeweled version. A big find arrived today. The Cedar Blue (third from the left) is a First Year (1941) with corresponding aluminum jewels and Speedline filler. Once we joined WWII aluminum was reserved for the war effort and the jewels became plastic and the filler celluloid. Once I’ve found the Dove Gray double-Jewel, I will go after all the first year pens and the silver capped pens. It’s not the destination, but the journey, right!? 😉
