Trying to make Champaign-Urbana local government easier to follow. Looking for feedback.
A friend and I are working on a small project called LocalMatters focused on Champaign-Urbana local government.
The idea is: local decisions matter, but most people don’t have time to read agendas or track meetings. We’re trying to make it easier to follow local topics like city council, zoning, schools, and other local issues.
There’s a free newsletter every other Friday (next issue goes out this Friday) with a quick local rundown. You can also set alerts for zoning near your neighborhood or specific topics you care about and get notified before public comment closes on upcoming issues.
Not trying to spam, genuinely curious whether something like this would actually be useful and what you'd want improved.
