Feature Improvement Request

When using the PGYTECH Magcam 2 grip, and pressing the top function button to adjust a setting, such as EV, WB, or Filters, a window appears on the right but disappears very quickly. This makes it difficult to use. Personally, I don't have time to change my settings! Would it be possible to increase the time before this window disappears, or to add a setting allowing users to manually select the desired time?

Thank you

Core Image RAW 9 in iOS 27

In iOS 27 beta, Apple introduced a major update to its raw image processing engine with Core Image RAW 9. This is the most significant overhaul since 2017, designed to deliver much sharper and more defined images during editing.
This new process relies on several technical advancements:
- AI-Assisted Noise Reduction: The new model uses machine learning via Apple's Neural Engine. Instead of artificially smoothing pixels (which destroyed fine details), the engine has learned to distinguish the image signal (the details) from digital noise, allowing it to replace the latter with a much more natural texture.
- Demosaicing Integration: The algorithm for converting raw sensor data into a color image is now a tiled CoreML model, which combines demosaicing and noise reduction simultaneously for optimal quality.
- Third-Party Apps: This pipeline change is not visible in the native Photos app. It is primarily made available to developers via the Core Image API, for use in third-party applications (such as NoFusion).

Has anyone had the chance to test this new process on iOS 27 beta? I'm curious to know if there will be a noticeable visual difference when processing Bayer RAW files on iPhone.

And I'm also wondering what the impact will be on the NoFusion app.

Do the Profiles Pictures work with HEIF files in camera (Sony a6700) ?

I see everywhere that these PP files only work in JPEG, so I’m wondering if they also work in HEIF?

Apple's Journal App - On This Day

- Is there anyone at Apple who uses the Journal app daily, since its release in 2023?
- Do the app's developers, their superiors, their managers, Apple's software managers, and Apple's leadership actually use the Journal app daily for its intended purpose: personal journaling?
Personally, I tend to think the answer to these questions is: NO.

Indeed, if all these people used the Journal app every day, they would have realized long ago that there's a crucial missing feature.

And if you, the reader, use the Journal app daily, you obviously know what I'm talking about!
That missing feature is: "On This Day"!

The "On This Day" feature automatically retrieves entries you wrote on the same date in previous years, allowing you to revisit memories, look at photos, and compare your state of mind over time.
Its main purpose is to transform the Journal into a living memory rather than a simple archive. It helps you revisit past moments, identify patterns, changes, life stages, or, conversely, things you had completely forgotten. The idea is to bring forth contextual memories at the right moment to encourage reflection and the continuity of your Journal.
This feature reinforces the habit of writing because it provides an immediate reward upon returning to the app: you're not just jotting down a thought, you're also rediscovering your history. It facilitates self-reflection, gratitude, and a broader perspective on your personal growth by making visible changes that go unnoticed in your daily life. It can also serve as a writing prompt, reminding you of a theme, emotion, or event similar to today's.
This can contribute to mental well-being for many people. Rereading past entries can reduce feelings of confusion, reinforce a sense of personal continuity, and help you see that you've already weathered difficult times.

For most users, the best use of "On This Day" is twofold: memory and reflection. This is particularly valuable if you're keeping a journal over time, as the feature's value increases with the accumulated history.

Given all these factors, I was convinced that Apple would finally introduce the « On This Day » feature in Mac/iPad/iOS 27, three years after creating the Journal app.

So I was extremely disappointed, and more than surprised, to see during Apple's WWDC keynote on June 10, 2026, that this feature still hadn't been introduced by Apple!
I'm starting to worry that Apple is gradually abandoning the Journal app, just as it has done in the past with other apps (see Clips).

However, I'm convinced that implementing this feature isn't technically complicated, since it's a date-based search, and the search results layout already exists in the Journal app.

What do you think? 🤔
Should we try contacting Apple, perhaps Tim Cook or John Ternus, to ask them to finally introduce this "On this day" feature in a future iOS 27 update?
I know there's little chance of Apple listening.

But I have over 5,000 entries in the Journal app, and I'd like to try something so I don't remain frustrated with this app for at least another year, waiting for iOS 28…

Would anyone actually want a “Zero Process” mode in Snapseed?

I’ve been reading about this kind of iPhone photo processing in apps like Halide, No Fusion and Procamera f.e. where the camera basically skips the heavy computational stuff like over-sharpening, aggressive HDR, and extra noise reduction.

The idea is to keep the photo much closer to what the sensor really captured, instead of letting the phone “cook” the image too much. The result is usually more natural, less artificial, and often way better if you like a softer, more realistic look.

Of course, there’s a catch: these images can be noisier, less polished, and a bit harder to work with — especially in low light. So it’s not necessarily for everyone. But for people who like editing their photos themselves in Snapseed, it could be a really cool option.

Snapseed do now capture, but imagine if it offered a workflow or feature that started from a more natural, minimally processed image instead of the usual iPhone output.

Would you use that?
Or do you prefer Apple’s default processing most of the time?

MagSafe grip with Snapseed ?

It would be great to be able to use the PGYTECH MagSafe grip with the Snapseed app on iOS.
Can you implement this compatibility?

Is the No Fusion app really useful if you don't have an iPhone Pro with ProRes?

!! ProRaw, not ProRes, sorry 😞 !!
With my iPhone Air, which can take 24MP or 48MP photos but doesn't have ProRaw, I can't get good quality photos because of the low resolution of the 12MP RAW (Bayer) photos.
So I'm wondering about the usefulness and justification of using No Fusion with an iPhone Air.
What do you think? 🤔
Thanks 🙏🏻
