63A( Acquisitions Officer)

Hey how’s it going everyone. I was doing a little bit of research and I’m just curious about the bills and bases available for a 63A. What are the chances I can be stationed somewhere in the West Coast. I know the end of the day that it’s The needs of the Air Force. On a sidenote as well, does anyone have any experience with Vanderberg Edwards or Los Angeles?

Options as an upcoming as300

I just got back from Field Training and honestly I’m struggling with what I want to do moving forward.
I’m contracted, and I genuinely want to serve.

The problem is that coming home made me realize how much my family means to me. My grandparents are in their 80s and are starting to need more help, and I keep thinking about how limited my time with them is. Being away made me realize I don’t want to miss these years if I can help it.

Has anyone else gone through this after FT? Did you stay active duty, pursue the Reserve or Guard, or end up leaving AFROTC? I’m just looking for honest advice from people who’ve been in a similar situation.

I’m aware of repercussions of leaving, but I’m really just going through it mentally and I’m not sure if staying is the best coa.

Possible 62E bases

Just finished Field Training and looking ahead at 62E assignments. I know the needs of the Air Force come first, and I’m not expecting any guarantees, but some family circumstances have come up and I’d like to stay reasonably close to Southern California if possible.

For current or former 62Es, what are the realistic odds of getting somewhere like Edwards or LA AFB, or otherwise staying within driving distance of Riverside/San Diego? Not trying to count on anything just looking for perspective from people who have been through the assignment process.
