Hey, so I’ve been looking into clubs and saw Theta Tau. As an incoming freshman, how hard is it to join? I dont have much engineering experience (idk if I should have before joining). Is it possible to join? I read the website, and it looks interesting, but I read a post saying it is competitive. Does anyone have an insight into the club

Like a few months ago, my old laptop broke, so I bought a MacBook Pro (pro to use for engineering), but now I'm hearing that the MacBook won't run a lot of the required software for EE + ME minor, like SolidWorks, etc. So what do I do now? Do I need a whole new computer (which I have no more money for), or can I make a Mac work without missing out?
I am on the alternate list and want to know if I have a shot to go into the honors program, as that is one of the main things I am looking forward to at SCU.
