Disclaimer. I do also think that gen 3 is a bit cooler (although they slimmed down the Wilds one, so props for them)

but I do think the Gen 1 armour is... Better at being an armour? Especially if you want to run from a firebreathing monster with the shoulder pads given where they are allow shoulder movement, the scales on the abdomen would allow bending and more movement, etc, while still being protective. And I feel it would let the man breathe more than gen 3.
