ASHP on timber construction flat roof

Hello,
I live in a 2015-built maisonette flat, with a roof terrace. The property is timber construction, with a brick external layer.

I would love to install an ASHP for environmental reasons. I’ve had a system designed - which suggested a 4kw Grant unit, to cover heat loss of around 2.5kw.

I am concerned that the heat pump will produce vibrations that will pass through into the flat below. If I could wall mount it, would that reduce the risk?

Anyone have experience of mounting an ASHP on a light-weight roof terrace, or other situation where there isn’t significant amount of earth/concrete to soak up vibrations?

Best wishes.

I’m already delighted by my Light Phone III, and following the SDK announcement this week I am even more excited for the potential that the device can fully displace my iPhone. Thanks go to Light for their work, their impeccable aesthetics and their thoughtfulness.

It seems that in future users will be able to toggle on ‘developer mode’. It looks like this may enable the running of apps that are under development rather than just those that have been ‘published’ into the tool library by Light. In other words it will be possible to side load ‘unpublished’ apps for which users have the source code. Is this right?

Worth noting the two separate aspects of this announcement: 1) increased availability of tools in a curated tool library 2) the chance to sideload any tool for which you have source code.

I’m excited to see how this will all pan out.

As with most posts on here, I will briefly indulge in a wish list. I live in the UK, so I can’t get by without WhatsApp. I would also very much like a way to display train tickets using my phone.
