Hi, I’m trying to trade Pokémon (GBA Gen 3) using RetroArch netplay with the gpSP core.
I understand that trading works between two Miyoo devices running Onion OS, so my question is specifically about cross-device compatibility.
I’ve tried:
- Miyoo Mini+ (Onion OS v4.4)
- Nintendo Switch (CFW, RetroArch, gpSP)
They connect and detect each other in-game, but the connection drops when starting the trade.
So I’d like to ask:
- Has anyone successfully traded Pokémon between DIFFERENT devices (e.g., Miyoo + Anbernic, Miyoo + Switch, etc.)?
- If so, what exact setup (core version, OS, RetroArch version) did you use?
- Are some devices known to be more compatible than others?
- Or is it basically required to use two identical devices for stable trading?
I’m trying to avoid using PC tools and do everything directly between handhelds.
