Didn’t expect to fall in love with this hobby this much
After being a silent reader here for the past couple of months, I’m finally here 😊
I started this hobby back in January after seeing the LP60X on special and paired it with Edifier R1280DB speakers.
Honestly I was really happy with the setup and it got me hooked straight away. Funny enough my wife was actually the one who pushed me into getting a turntable in the first place. When she was younger, her uncle had one and she used to love listening to vinyl at his place. Once we started playing records at home, she ended up loving it too.
Fast forward 5 months later and yep… the upgrade bug hit 😂
I ended up selling the LP60X and the Edifiers and found a second hand LP120X. Paired it with Q Acoustics 5010, a Loxjie A30, and a WiiM Pro streamer.
At first I honestly thought maybe the difference wouldn’t be that huge, but once I started listening I totally got why people upgrade. Everything just sounded fuller and cleaner, and it made me enjoy sitting down and listening to records even more. Really happy with how the setup turned out.
For now though this will probably be my setup for a while because I’d rather spend the money hunting for more vinyls instead 😂 Currently sitting at 24 records so far.
This hobby turned into a rabbit hole I never expected to love this much, but I’m really glad to finally join the community properly. I know there are always better upgrades ahead, but honestly I’m super content with what I have right now.
