Hey all,

Recently had a 3 alarm arson fire where a 100 year old commercial building was burnt badly. Type 3 construction. 40k square feet. Multiple collapse points, fire through several sections of the roof. We didn’t go interior as the condition of the building was rapidly deteriorating to begin with before the fire.

However I spent around 12 hours on scene in the aerial flowing water on and off scba as the day went on and conditions improved.

Of course I washed all of my gear.

What are your thoughts about asbestos and exposures like this?

I know for a fact it was riddled with it, and a large demolition was taken place while we were on scene.
