Altezza Daily Driver
Hello all, as the title suggests I’m curious about daily driving an Altezza and wanted to get opinions from you all. I’ve found a couple for sale at a local dealer (one is a 99, other is 01, both are beams+J160 cars), curious if there any differences between model years. However, I’m mainly curious about reliability, parts availability (in the US), overall how dailyable these cars are and just some general pros and cons. I do already own a JZX100 so I’m familiar with how parts can take time to acquire and was curious if it’s the same story with the XE10. Thank you
Bags.
How many of you on here are on bags? And how many of you daily it that way? Considering bags over coils for my IS. Just not sure if people run into to many issues daily driving it.
First Lexus! IS 350 F Sport
Greetings! Just joined the group. Picked this super loaded 2024 IS 350 with just under 17k miles for $52.2 after taxes. AVS, NAV, ML, Blackout package, wheels, tri-beam headlights, premium paint, rear window cover, illuminated door sills, upgraded floor matts, brand new Bridgestones in the front, and only a couple very small paint chips on a fender. How’d I do? I think I got a good/fair deal considering I was looking for an AWD with particular options. The other part of me is kind of nit picking the AWD feel. I live in Oklahoma, not terrible weather year round, but the winters can be harsh maybe 1-3 weeks of bad snow or ice and we don’t do a great job of maintaining roads. I’m trying to get over it, but did I make a mistake not going RWD 8 spd? The steering just feels heavy but maybe I’ll get over it. I work a job that no matter the weather.. I have to get there and this is my only transportation. I’m coming from a 4th gen RAM, but have owned sedans in the past.
Lastly, any must haves with this vehicle? I learned yesterday about the LCA issue and just ordered a pair from RR. Outside of that will def be getting ceramic tent all the way around as well as ceramic coat.
Lexus IS 250 RWD, Manual, 158,000 miles, $3,500... talk me out of it?
so i need a car and i'm shopping around and this baby is kind of far away, but it looks sexier than the other options at this price point...
my thoughts on it:
- if I want to loan my car to a friend, i'll have to teach them to drive stick
- probly I'll have to replace the clutch at soon-ish, not an easy repair on this car
+ it's RWD, so there should be room in the engine bay to work on the motor easier?
+ it's reliable toyota engineering
+ faster than the other options at this price point
Is this car sought after? seems rare, but doesn't seem super desirable.
so... tell me how i'm wrong!
How to remove these wiper blades? It's a 2018 Lexus IS300 if that helps.

Getting ready to say goodbye after 10 years of ownership.
Been a lurker for a long time. Drove a 2026 is350F recently while my 2006 was being serviced at Lexus and this 2006 didn’t feel too far off. Will join the Lexus family again soon.
2026 Lexus IS 350 F SPORT owners with Mark Levinson audio — what did you pay?
I’m shopping for a new Lexus IS 350 F SPORT AWD with the Mark Levinson audio system (Navigation Package + ML) and I’m trying to get a sense of what people are actually paying.
If you purchased recently, could you share:
MSRP
Selling price before taxes/fees
Out-the-door (OTD) price
State you purchased in
Whether it was purchased or leased
Thanks in advance, I’m trying to compare offers before pulling the trigger.
Triple Beam Headlight options?
Recently bought a 26 IS 350 F Sport, regret not adding the triple beam headlights, is there any way to get them separately or perhaps aftermarket options?
IS500 ticking
So my service advisor had called me and told me my short block needs to be replaced and so they will be replacing my entire engine with a new one. 2024 IS500 with 26k miles. I’ve done my oil changes every 3k miles with liquid Molly and have only used 93 octane. I’m surprised my engine gave out so sooon…. If your V8 makes a weird tick get it checked out!
Normal idle for neutral in 17 is300 fsport?? More than likely ok but thought I’d ask just in case:)
Looking to do an 11-12 2IS conversion on my 09 2IS. Is it pretty much plug and play, or are there any extra steps, wiring, or parts I'll need to make everything work? (Other than fog lights ofc)
Been looking at IS 350. 164k. Asking price is 8k…
This is the exact ideal model I would like. However, I am hesitant on the mileage. Thoughts?

New wheels.
Hi. Just for those wandering how silver Braelin BR10 wheels look like on a Cloudburst Grey IS300.
At first I was planning to go for all black wheels, but changed my mind and chose silver. I like them, add some character to the car.
Leaving 😔💔
Really enjoyed this car for the one year of ownership I had it for, but I will be letting it go for a 2024 CT5V. It is a cpo 2024 with 10.4k miles with the navigation package
