Price Advice

Hi everyone. New car buyer here so looking for some help/advice. Found a 2021 is350 f sport awd (kind of a dream car for me tbh) for 37k, probably a little north of 40k with tax, but it has 77k miles on it. My guts telling me this price is really high, especially for nearly 80k miles, though I've also read that IS's in general hold value really well. Any and all advice/pointers on this, or to hunt down a reasonably priced is350 in general, would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Edit: turns out its a pretty much base awd with only 1 extra feature, so safe to say I probably wont be considering it seriously for now. If anyone has any tips on hunting down a well-valued is350, feel free to drop them below. Thanks again everyone!

what abs wheel speed sensor should I get for my 2008 is250?

My abs light is on and on partsgeek, they have a bundle for all 4 sensors from autopart premium. The thing is I don’t know if it’s multiple that are bad I’m pretty sure it’s just 1, but regardless is it better to get a really good oem sensor and leave the others be or replace all of them with brand new sensors albeit not oem? The reason it’s hard to choose for me is because 1 oem/equivalent sensor goes for $35-50 meanwhile the bundle is like $54.

Normal engine noise on 2015 IS250?

Hey! Just purchased this 2015 IS250 few days ago. Noticed this noise, not sure if it’s normal or if it’s an issue. Any help is appreciated! I drove for few minutes then just went to parking lot to take some pictures and popped the hood and noticed the sound.

Buying a used 16 Lexus IS300 with a Timing Cover Leak

I found an ultrasonic blue 2016 lexus IS300 with 145k km on it in my area. With new tires and spark plugs in mind I got the price down to $20k CAD, now after inspection It has the following issues:

Engine codes:

P0441 - Incorrect purge

P0455 Evap leak

Lower control arm bushing starting to crack.

Engine oil leak - oil bybass hose banjo bolt. Possible timing cover.

Front differential pinion seal leak.

Would you buy this with a potential timing cover leak? What if I negotiated the price down to $17,500. Would it be worth?

Thanks for the help!

2006 Is350; 150k miles $7700

Hey all; I’m looking for a car and deciding between an older Is350 or an Acura TL Type S.
This one has a new water pump and alternator, as well as new tires. The carfax suggests it’s been cared for as there are a lot of reports every 5-15k miles. Just curious if any owners of around these years can share some insight on what to expect. I have an ‘04 Es330 and I know these cars are reliable, but it is 20 years old so just looking for some extra input. Thanks!

Rear-facing car seat in a 2017 IS? (5'4", 1-year-old)

Hey everyone,
Looking at picking up a 2017 IS, but I’ve got a 1-year-old and want to make sure a rear-facing car seat isn't going to be a complete dealbreaker. I was originally holding out for a GS, but there are basically zero in my area right now.

For context, it’d mostly just be me and my kid on ~30 min daily commutes. On the rare occasion all 3 of us ride together, I’d be sitting in front of the car seat (I’m 5'4"). For any long family trips we'd just take my partner's ES anyway.

For anyone who's actually owned one with a toddler:

How annoying is loading/unloading every day with the back door size?

Is this doable, or a bad buy for this stage?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Questions

Context: I work retail, so I don’t make that much money, so I’m going to have to save up a lot

I’m looking to get a 350, but should I go with a 2nd gen or 3rd gen? I really like the exterior and interior design of the 3rd gen but obviously the 2nd gen would be cheaper. Is it worth it to save up for a 3rd gen? What model year did the 3rd gen come with ventilated seats?

Caviar shaded with Champagne

I’m back at Tri-City, WA again for business. Got to love the lovely champagne shade. And I might as well mention that I washed the car and want to show it off.

Happy year two of ownership! Also owned a third-gen (XE30) for two years, and then trade it in for this baby.
