I have this Reverware Cooper bottom pot I found thrusting. This is what I grew up using. I'm wanting to use this pot for my camping gear supplies.

I'm concerned to cook food in it for my family due to this strange staining. First two photos are off the inside and the last is the bottom of the pot.

I cleaned it well & ice tried boiling water in it and cleaning but it stays the same. The outside residue is thick on the bottom of the pot. The inside is smooth and looks like it was stained but there's no residue. There's some residue on the inside of the pot that I'm unable to scrub off or soak off.

•Any thoughts on what could have caused this?

•Is it safe to still use it to cook food in?

•How do I clean this & restore?
