Viretta: 5-Ply Copper Cookware + Titanium Plasma

Hi i noticed Viretta has launched a 5-ply copper core pan with titanium plasma as option on Kickstarter. Do any have thoughts on of its worth it? It seems like a very interesting product and also the price is not bad compared to madein and its seems like a superior product.

Refurbishing Ruffoni Pots…help!

Found a set of these beautiful Ruffoni pots that are in pretty poor condition. Open to a new project and would love to take these on but I’ve never brought copper back to life nor do i know if this is doable with these. Would love any tips or suggestions…or if you think this is even worth it? Thanks!

Bottega del Rama cookware arrived - silver lined copper

Received the five items I ordered from Bottega del Rama. Two pans, a lid, and a pot and pan combo. Looking forward to using these over the next couple of days. US tariffs hit hard unfortunately but still well worth it.

Is There any Hope?

Just found this copper cauldron at a goodwill for $4 thought it was a steal and that the copper is overcooked from use. It’s very worn and definitely needs to be re-tinned. Is it possible to fix up the exterior and is it worth it? It’s got a good weight to it and would be cool to use occasionally/ display. New to this and anything helps!

First time copper purchase! Does this look safe to cook out of as-is?

The lid on this pot was taped shut and I couldn’t get a good look inside when I bought it, so I took a chance. Think this needs to be the-tinned before I cook something like tomato sauce in it?

Revereware Strange Staining

I have this Reverware Cooper bottom pot I found thrusting. This is what I grew up using. I'm wanting to use this pot for my camping gear supplies.

I'm concerned to cook food in it for my family due to this strange staining. First two photos are off the inside and the last is the bottom of the pot.

I cleaned it well & ice tried boiling water in it and cleaning but it stays the same. The outside residue is thick on the bottom of the pot. The inside is smooth and looks like it was stained but there's no residue. There's some residue on the inside of the pot that I'm unable to scrub off or soak off.

•Any thoughts on what could have caused this?

•Is it safe to still use it to cook food in?

•How do I clean this & restore?

Thanks for reading!

ID Help - Set bought for £50

I know these will need re-tinning, but I'm keen to give this a go myself since I managed to pick up the set for £50 total (also including a small nonstick pan which will likely go to landfill since the nonstick coating is pretty worn down).

I think one of the pots - the biggest one, with the chunky handle - might be Mauviel since the Made in France logo looks like it might be oval? But I'm very new to this, so not sure. I've attached photos of the other stamps and would be really grateful for any insight onto any of these items! One of them doesn't have any stamp. The thickest one is over 3mm, the thinnest is closer to 1.5mm-2mm. Some of them are slightly dented but nothing too bad, so I think it should just be a case of re-tinning and then they'll be ready for cooking in :)

Thanks in advance!

Borrowed a friend my copper pan and he used high heat to sear some fish. Did it ruin the lining and is even worth getting fixed if so?

First three are after he used the metal spatula and high heat, last pic is one I took before lending it to him. He thinks he may have damaged the lining but I can't tell.

Seeing as it's on the lower end as far as copper cookware goes (Douro B&M Professional Portugal 1.5mm 10.5" frying pan), is it worth spending the $100+shipping it's going to cost to retin if it does indeed need it?

Would these be worth buying?

Found these near me and wanted an opinion if all of them would be worth $125 to buy

Olac & Sons Saute Part 2

I know some like to see the before and afters. I’m a home tinner so it’s never quite perfect but these are for my personal use and collection so I don’t worry too much. It’s also really hard to do great tin in older pans with textured and pitted surfaces I find.

Olac & Sons Philadelphia

Finally got around to adding new tin to this 12” sauté pan. It’s a beast and reminds me why I waited so long.

Georg Jensen Taverna

Got a Georg Jensen pan at a secondhand shop in Norway for 4 dollars

Diameter 27cm

What kind of tips and trix should i learn

No makers mark, no "Made In" but these are $45 and $65 respectively and these copper pans seem pretty heavy. Is the interior stainless steel or copper?
