Shortly after getting my workstation up after years of not having access, I was so excited to get things up and running that I swapped a long Ethernet cable (8+ ft at least) to my computer that had previously been attached to a printer that was barely two feet from the router. I had a suitable cable to put in its place and then didn't think anything of it. My pwBPD quickly noticed something had changed solely because the Ethernet cables were different colors and then proceeded to punch a nearby wall so hard that I was worried they'd punch a hole straight thru it. They then told me that *"[I] don't get to tell people how [they] treat [me] when I do 'this?!' [gestures at the whole situation]. They then proceeded to aggressively storm out of our apartment. I was at my desk when all this happened, and didn't leave my chair for nearly 3 hours after this. My brain has crashed to a halt and I was just sitting in silence ashamed of myself.
