✨HELP✨…. my mom cut my ears!

Sorry ‘thena…. It was a must😅💖.

Advice for the ear sides? They look a bit ragged on those edges, but as this must’ve been her first (or second by the breeder) ear haircut, I was nervous to keep going over it with the cordless clippers, but totally forgetting my hair scissors at home 😭

(pet supplies self wash for the win, we clipped before washing!)

Prints on slide two of the before and afters taken by my instax mini evo💕 I need to transfer them to my phone after our bedtime routine tonight.

How often are we grooming??!

So I just gave Athena a Miami trim exactly 10 days ago and she’s already growing “waves” back again…. So my question would be… how often should we trim down to maintain a style OR does it matter by age and environment?

We live north east, it’s spring currently, and she does go to a weekly training session with our service dog training program. I take her to pet supplies and wash and blow dry her myself, and if she needs anything in between, she also loves baths at home.

Athena is currently 8mos… still trying to get her used to hearing the sounds of bath and blow dry, the clippers and make her a lot less jumpy to any noises she’s not familiar with on a regular.

On top of that I’m a single mom of 3, juggling that and court and I just want to be able to plug in on our calendar an efficient system of how often I should be keeping up with her coat/nails/brushings, so that we stay afloat.

I HAVE NEVER GROOMED BEFORE YALL AND LOOK😭😍

In honor of her very first cycle coming on this past week, (she’s still bleeding a bit now) it seemed fitting to finally give her a shave down since she’s entered into womanhood. I know still need to re-brush through her half mane, topknot and cuffs + tail *again* but I’m sure with how long we took to get this accomplished last night that she is all touched OUT, I’ll get her with a brush through tomorrow.

I aimed for the miami trim, watched two yt videos, used two diff clippers, one plugin and one wireless, 4 different attachments, people hair scissors, and prayed for the best.😅

I started at around 7pm, a TON of breaks, treats, wrangling my three kids in between, and we ended up finishing around 2:30am🥲

Athena had so much new growth and she can’t have any covering her eyes while having service dog training. I had to do it (and her sanitary areas) myself because the breeders I bought her from did not provide me with anything, and kept refusing to give her paperwork, we just figured out earlier this week that her rabies tag she had on was actually linked to a cat😐😐😐. So Athena had all the necessary shots and bloodwork done at the same place that was on the cat tag, they were so amazing trying to solve the mystery of where she may be, health wise, and a game plan of how we will get her up to speed on everything.

Please enjoy our silly little photo shoot before we ended up at tjmaxx for light training and shopping for new toys!❤️

I got her 3/2, the day before my 30th birthday, and she’s been a dream! First poodle I’ve ever encountered, and so happy to have a Spoo!!

She is currently training with coastal service dogs to be my PSD/PTSD/Medical alert and mobility babe💖🐕‍🦺if everything turns out amazing, I’ll go through them again to get two more trained for my two (of three) children that need them for their own needs next.

I’d love any and all advice to help. She is about 7 months old, and yes we are matching curl friends but I feel like I’m not doing her curls justice, and now the hair is growing back in her face and eyes, she had a shaved snoot when I got her.

Also, yes, that last picture she got my daughter in the face, I took her to get nail clipping at the vet yesterday but they said her vein is so long, very close to the top so it’s almost impossible for them to do it, we just monitor her for now (it was a love tackle after getting out of the crate for a morning potty break).
