Oregon Fishing regulations

Retired, disabled guy here. 65 years old, never been in trouble with the law my entire life. Been working really hard on my Homestead. Just moved to Oregon from Wa two years ago.

Woke up today thinking how nice it would be to get a line in the water but know nothing about fishing this area. Checked out the regs and it appears that I’d need three Masters degrees and a complete geological survey just to decipher them.

This place is open from this date to this date , 600 ft below the so and so bridge and not more then 800ft. Barbed hooks, no barbed hooks, dynamite approved with a class two flak jacket, corn ok but no drinking kool Aid while fishing, catch and release everything but guppies and salmon” bigger than 8” but not more than 20”. You must wear plaid if fishing in Douglas Countu or Jefferson County but plaid strictly prohibited in those counties on Tuesday snd Thursday before 2 pm and after 3pm.

This is absolutely the most frustrating thing I’ve encountered in ages. I don’t even own anything plaid and could cook meth with less potential penalties. The thought of doing 5 years in prison and paying a $5000 fine for catching a trout is mind vboggling. Fucking ridiculous! GIVE ME A BREAK! I JUST WANT TO GO FISHING!
