Just started my LLM in London (international Indian student).
I haven’t applied for any Training Contracts or vacation schemes for this upcoming cycle yet, partly because I’m still settling in, and partly because my original plan was just to take the Graduate Visa route, paralegal for a bit, and hopefully convert that into sponsorship down the line. Looking into it more with the new £38.7k salary threshold and how firms hire, is this plan completely delusional?Do firms ever actually sponsor international paralegals once the Graduate Visa runs out, or do they just replace you with a fresh grad? Trying to figure out if missing this autumn’s cycle means I’m basically setting myself up to be sent home in two years.
