In 2021, I repeatedly lost consciousness over the course of several minutes due to septic shock and my organs shutting down. I have absolutely no recollection of anything between losing consciousness in the triage room of the er and waking up surrounded by doctors in a hospital bed before going under again for several more minutes. I was delirious for a few hours. I felt entirely disconnected from my body for years after. I always wonder if im the same me that came back as I was before everything happened.
