Navimow X450 - error 1503, cutting deck rope broken after less than 2 weeks. Anyone had this and know if it's a user fix or service-only?

Just got error 1503 — "Cutting deck motor malfunction" on my X450. The app itself tells you to check if the rope of the cutting deck is damaged. Well, I flipped the mower and confirmed — the rope is broken

This unit has less than two weeks of use on it.

In hindsight, this explains all the issues I've been posting about: the deck dragging on the ground, wheels losing traction, and faster battery drain. It was all one broken rope.

Before I go through the official support/warranty process (which, based on my experience so far, is painfully slow and AI-driven), I'd like to ask the community:

  1. Has anyone successfully replaced the cutting deck rope themselves?
  2. Is there an official spare part number for this rope/cord?
  3. Is this a known weak point on the X4 series, or did I just get unlucky?

I'd prefer a quick DIY fix over weeks of waiting for service, but I also don't want to void the warranty on a €3,000 machine that's barely out of the box.

Any advice appreciated

Navimow X450 — cutting deck dragging on the ground / losing traction + faster battery drain

Owned my X450 for less than 2 weeks and I'm already pulling my hair out over various issues with it.

Current setup:

  • Firmware: Navimow X4 V4.1.3
  • Cutting height: set near max (85mm / 3.3")
  • Terrain: dry, short grass, gentle slope — well within advertised specs

What's happening:

Out of nowhere, the robot started behaving as if it were suspended — wheels spinning without proper grip on the ground, and the cutting deck visibly dragging on the surface. This is happening despite the cutting height being set close to maximum, so the deck should have plenty of clearance. On top of that, the battery drains noticeably faster than in the first days under identical conditions.

What I've already tried:

  • Flipped the unit and inspected under the deck for debris, grass wrapped around the axle, or anything blocking the lift mechanism.
  • Cycled the cutting height through its full range (max → min → back to target).

Questions for the community:

  1. Anyone else on V4.1.3 seeing the deck physically drag or scrape on flat ground?
  2. Is there a proper diagnostic procedure for the cutting height mechanism I'm missing?
  3. Did this clear up for anyone after a firmware update or a hard reset?

Thanks 🙏

Navimow X450 un-docking from DIY shelter — wheels turn too sharply too soon. Any way to tune the exit path?

Hey everyone,

I built a DIY wooden shelter for my Navimow X450 with an opening width of 80 cm. It works, but honestly the clearance is very tight, and I'm running into an un-docking issue I'm hoping someone here has solved.

I've attached a short video showing exactly what I mean:

Navimow X450 un-docking from DIY Garage — wheels turn too sharply too soon

The problem: when the robot leaves the dock to start a mowing session, it reverses out, but it starts turning the wheels way too early — basically angling into the turn before it has cleared its own body length out of the opening. With an 80 cm entrance, that sharp early steering means the rear/side gets very very close to the wooden uprights on the way out. A few more cm of straight reverse before the steering kicks in would fix it completely.

What I'm hoping to figure out:

  • Is there any way (app setting, re-callibrate) to make the X450 reverse straight back at least one robot-length before steering away from the dock?
  • Has anyone adjusted the un-docking path / exit angle by repositioning the antenna or RTK reference, or by tweaking the docking corridor in the app?
  • For those with narrow shelters/garages — what opening width did you end up with, and did you have to do anything special to make exiting reliable?

I'd rather tune the robot's behavior than rebuild the shelter wider, but I'll do whatever works. Any tips, settings, or hard-won experience appreciated 🙏

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to find the original Garage X Navimow for X4 (EAN: 8721264221209) and it seems to be completely unavailable anywhere in the EU.

The accessory is not listed on the Segway Navimow EU. Meanwhile, it's readily available in the US through Amazon, Home Depot, Acme Tools, and the US Navimow store - no problem at all.

I've checked multiple European retailers and online shops with no luck. Only HORNBACH Switzerland has but no option for shipping to EU countries.

Does anybody know why this is the case? Is it a certification issue, a logistics/distribution decision, or are they simply prioritizing the US market for accessories? It's frustrating to spend this much on a premium mower and then not be able to buy a basic official accessory in Europe.

Has anyone found a workaround or a European source I might be missing?

Thanks in advance!
