I’m currently a 1st year CSE student and had a doubt regarding placements. Suppose I end my first year with around a 9 CGPA, but I have B grades in core subjects like C programming and Python.

Will this negatively impact my placement chances later on? Do companies give more importance to grades in programming-related subjects, or do they mainly look at overall CGPA?

Would really appreciate insights from seniors or anyone who has gone through placements.

I had my C programming exam today, and the question required us to paste both the code and the output (screenshot from command prompt).

I correctly wrote and ran the program, but I only pasted the screenshot of the output and didn't paste the code itself.

The question was for 7 marks.

Does anyone know how such answers are usually evaluated? Will I get partial marks just for the correct output, or is it likely I’ll lose all marks since the code is missing?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has faced something similar or has experience with evaluation.
