Malhotra was definitely one of the more noticeable players today.

I caved and bought TSN+ for $8 so I could watch the boys play. While they didn't hit the score sheet, they both played very well. In my opinion Malhotra looked better and had plenty of scoring chances but just couldn't connect although his board retrievals were excellent. Cootes played a responsible game and calmed the game down whenever he had the puck. It was a frantic game as you could tell the players hadn't played in a while so take that for what it's worth.

Other players that were noticeable to me on Canada include Tynan Lawrence, Brady Martin, Carson Carels and Ethan Belchetz

What does next year look like for Marcus Pettersson?

After a brutal season, how do you think Marcus will fare next year? I doubt the team will be much better (might even be worse talent wise) and he doesn't do well without good defensive forwards in front of him. Should GMRJ try to move on from his contract even if the return is dreadful? Or, since he is a very vocal leader, is he virtually untradeable if the team manages to deal Hronek? Do you hope he increases his trade value even if that seems far fetched?
