Does Zomato Deliver inside campus

I recently joined the institute and got allotted a room in the Red Hostel (old hostel block). The ventilation here is pretty rough, and I was wondering how fellow residents deal with it.
Is there any way to get proper airflow other than keeping the door open all the time? Any tips or hacks would be really appreciated!
EDIT: It works now, thanks to all the users who helped
Hi all,
I'm an incoming PhD research scholar and ran into a login issue I'm hoping someone can help with or has faced before.
I received my initial credentials for both my IITH email and the AIMS portal (LDAP). I changed the default passwords for both. The email password reset went through fine and I can log in without any issues.
However, for AIMS, even though the intranet login accepts my new LDAP password just fine, the AIMS portal itself throws:
APP-00008 : Invalid User
I've tried:
· Original (default) password
· Changed password
· Login ID in all caps
Every combination gives the same error.
Since the intranet is accepting the same credentials without issue, I'm guessing this might be a sync issue between LDAP and AIMS rather than something wrong on my end, but wanted to check if:
· Anyone else has faced this during onboarding
· There's a specific admin/helpdesk contact for AIMS-specific issues (separate from the general IT helpdesk)
· It just needs some time to sync after a password change
Any guidance from seniors/current scholars who've been through this would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I'll be joining as a PhD scholar in the AI department soon, and I wanted to get some insights from current/former scholars here.
A few things I'm curious about:
Placements/internships during PhD – How common is it for PhD scholars (especially in AI/ML) to intern at companies during their program? Are there specific semesters or years when this is more feasible? Does the institute facilitate this or is it mostly self-driven?
Side income during PhD – For those who've managed to earn extra cash alongside their stipend, what worked for you? I'm thinking along the lines of:
a. Freelance ML/data science projects
b. Teaching/TA-ing extra courses
c. Consulting gigs
d. Content creation (technical blogs, YouTube, etc.)
e. Research collaborations with industry
Would really appreciate insights from anyone who's navigated this, especially in the AI/CS domain. Trying to plan ahead so I can make the most of my time here without compromising research output.
Thanks in advance!
