did anyone else realize later that they were basically trained to never inconvenience anyone?

i catch myself apologizing for everything, staying quiet even when something bothers me, and feeling guilty for needing help with the smallest things. growing up it felt like having needs automatically made you “difficult” or selfish, so i just learned to take up as little space as possible

now people describe me as “easygoing” but honestly a lot of the time i’m just scared of being a burden

anyone else figure this out about themselves later on?
