Term "letting go" is confusing and even Hawkins uses it couple different ways in his book

I find it confusing and tbh annoying that he first describes the letting go practice as to allow yourself to have and feel the feelings as long as needed, as many times as needed.

Then as the book goes on he uses it differently, for example the apartment thing where the person just "lets go" of the desire to have the apartment. Its not like a person can just drop the need for apartment like that and it certainly did not happen the way he describes the letting go practice earlier on. He also uses the word "relinguish" often, for example to relinquish anger. Once again, you can't just drop anger like that.. it takes long time to burn it out.

People use the "letting go" practice for months and years for certain things and Hawkins makes it seem like you can do miracles in 1 minute by just relinquishing and dropping desire etc. When he earlier in the book says you should allow these feelings to be there as long as needed.

Term "allowing" is pretty popular right now in the mind body space and that term is better than letting go tbh.
