Is this a terrible portfolio? Help for beginner
I (24M) am new to investing and made this portfolio after some research plus belief in what will be the next big thing (quantum and robots although now I’m thinking it may be too early to get in and a bit of opportunity cost). My thinking behind gold at 10% is a little fallback in case of a crash. Also I chose the VWRP instead of S&P as to not rely too heavily in the US
I understand the whole “timing in the market” premise and will happily hold and keep investing, but to people with more experience, how does this look?
My idea was to put in an initial investment of 5k today and then put 500-1000 every month, targeting at least 10 years of investing and letting compound interest do its thing. I was hoping for something that would hit at least a 8% yearly return but I understand of course no one has a magic ball lol
