Have to vent - Poshmark approved bullshit return for blind buyer
Ok, so yes Poshmark eventually gave me my money but it took an extra week and was a huge stupid hassle that never should have been a thing to begin with and I'm just blown away. Has anything like this ever happened to any other sellers here....?
I sold a pair of sterling silver earrings that are very clearly marked on the back (925). They are small but they are definitely there, camera makes them a cinch to see. But the buyer opened a case, claiming that they weren't silver because they weren't stamped. Which they 100% are. Poshmark asked for more pictures from the buyer to clarify, but instead of showing a picture of the back, where the stamps are, they only sent another picture of just the earrings - front, zoomed out. Totally useless, didn't prove or disprove anything. I, on the other hand, sent a picture of the back of the earring, zoomed in. The fucking 925 was RIGHT THERE, plain as day. Yet Poshfuck somehow decided the buyer was right. I messaged them and was like wtf? They said, "oh well we do have a process for this, wait until you get the item back then report a problem with the return, blah blah blah." So I did. I sent ANOTHER, very clear picture of the back of the earring, showing the 925. Said I wanted my money for the lost sale. Later the same day I sent that, they got back to me with a REALLY weak "apology", if you could call it that, and gave me the money for the sale.
But seriously....what...the....fuck. You can see the picture right here, surely that is utterly and completely clear, it was from the start!! How could Poshmark have ruled in favor of the buyer? HOW??? I am SO tempted to be done with this platform. Cannot believe the jerking around.
