I wish there was a separate site for resellers

No knock on the sellers who use PM as their own business, get your bag obviously, but I wish there was a separate site or page designated for people that want to source/thrift/find items and resell them for a profit. For me, the charm about PM used to be shopping people’s personal closet and style for items they no longer want or need. I use PM to sell good quality clothes/brands that don’t suit me anymore, items that I did use to wear and love but I’m ready to move on from. Lately, it feels like the vast majority of my feed is resellers, AI pics (gross), and clearly overpriced SHEIN products trying to pass as good quality. I do feel like there’s a demographic of consumers interested in reseller’s items, but I wish regular Poshmark was just focused on personal items/closets

Want to sell it all

What are the odds that I can get a significant portion of my listings sold over the next couple months? I don’t have a lot of fancy things or name brands and it’s a lot of older stuff, but I offer decent discounts on bundles, it’s just hard to do everything individually cheap with the fees and cost of gas to take packages to the post office when I only sale one item. I’m just trying to get some extra cash and clear out my closet

Arbitrary rules - a rant

I’m so frustrated with Poshmarks arbitrary rules. I received a warning last month for too many listing deletions and I asked them how to handle sales on other platforms. I got an indirect response so instead of deleting the listings I started marking them as not available. Well now I have a 7 day listing suspension. I sent them a screenshot of my sales on other platforms in the last two days and told them their policy is ridiculous. We risk suspension simply by making sales on other platforms.

Today’s Trending Items

I mean… I’m not surprised but really poshmark????? Hating the new layout BTW. Sometimes when I scroll through my main feed I don’t want to see “just for you” items - I want discovered items??? Idk I can’t believe I’m still on the damn app…

Were either of us unreasonable here?

Seller has had listing posted for quite some time and noted in the listing details that reasonable offers were welcome. I really don’t think a ~16% offer is unreasonable, but the 3% and 5% counteroffers really left me scratching my head. Like, at those price points, just say price is firm? I quit negotiating because I felt like I was negotiating against myself. I buy and sell and can usually find a price that works for all parties in either situation, but this one threw me!

Problems buying but new to Poshmark

My 1st 2 purchases were duds so I'm curious if anyone actually receives anything they buy on the platform. I did not make offers, I paid the asking price for both items. The 1st purchase was cancelled within hours. It was marked as damaged by the seller. The 2nd purchase, I had to wait almost 2 weeks with zero response from the seller or movement in the process before support would finally issue a refund. It still hasn't cleared my bank but I see it pending. I'm nervous to attempt a 3rd purchase! Do these problems like damaged goods & unresponsive sellers happen often?

New Seller, Why 250+ Shares of Item I Just Listed?

I"m still figuring out the PM culture and how it all works. I listed an item today, decent brand, priced super cheap (J. Jill, plus size, $12) because it's used, though it still has lots of life left. Walked the dog. Came back and saw the item had 267 shares. What's that all about? Is that the result of a Posh Party (again, what are those?). Thanks!

Filtering "not for sale" items

I have items marked NFS when pending sale on other platforms, but no longer have an option to filter them in search which is very dumb (why have it if we can't actually filter to them again.)

Anyone have any tips for finding these again so I can remove them that isn't just scrolling forever, deleting individually, then losing your place in the scroll and starting over?

I swear this app design gets worse all the time.

Listing winter items in summer?

I’m cleaning out my entire closet and listing 90-95% of everything I own. I started in June so I listed all dresses first then all my swim suits, I’m going to move into skirts next then tops then pants. But I’m wondering if it’s worth posting my coats, jackets, and sweaters now since it’s the middle of summer. I assume these items will not sell during this time, but any experienced poshers feel otherwise? Should I hold off until September to post those categories? Thank you!

Update: thank you for all the responses. It’s pretty much unanimous that everything should be posted no matter the season!

The online " holier than thou/better than you/ but cheap as fuck " attitude from some is hilarious

As usual , I get my three day massive hit of sales and a full stop after. The odd like here. The odd share. Same hamster wheels spins.

I've had a pair of high lux shoes on my page forEVER. ( 3 years. It's wild )

Anyway. Someone makes an offer on these plus another item. The item I don't really care about. But the shoes I do. They're already way below retail and way below any other similar item.

Lowballed. Big time.

I didn't answer. ( I'm ignoring tbh ) 🤷‍♀️

The offer expires as I still go online and repost other items.

They offer again but just for the high value item. Lowballed.

Then immediately cancel within less than an hour. Repeat.

I leave a comment saying, Why don't we discuss this? 👀 If we meet somewhere in the middle? If you want X ? We can work it out ( not verbatim. But very kind )

No answer. Online. No comments back. No more offers.

....like what do these people do in, real life scenarios? lmao

I just laugh behind my phone. If the item collects dust for another year , it's fine.

I just don't understand the logic of * repeatedly bothering / offering / liking unliking / * and when an actual conversation arises , they vanish 😭

( no. Sadly it's not a bot. I wish it was. )

Worth it to relist old listings that have 50+ likes but have not sold yet?

I have a few really good quality leather bags and shoes that all have around 50+ likes but no one has bought them. Idk why because they’re in perfect condition and obviously people like them. Is it worth it to just relist completely like make a brand new listing and lose all the old likes? Maybe that will get new eyes on the items? I really don’t know what to do here.

One of these items is a $650 brand new Italian leather bag that I have listed for $220. Which is way less than I even wanted to sell it for. But it has 44 likes! Another is a pair of Jeffrey Campbell high quality leather heels never worn still with the original box that were originally about $200 and I have them listed for $70. These shoes have almost 60 likes and have been listed for months.

I think the problem might be that I only have stock photos in the listing for this bag because it’s still in its original packaging which is a foam padding type of material. I didn’t want to open up the packaging just to show the bag and instantly devalue it. But I say multiple times that it’s brand new in perfect condition still in the original packaging and it’s never been opened. But that makes me worried that people aren’t buying it because they can’t see the actual bag. But I didn’t want to devaluate by opening the packaging. What do you all think I should do?

Edit- I’m also wondering in other sellers experience is it likely that someone that has liked one of these items for months is suddenly going to buy it now?

Odd user

Someone purchased a hoodie from me last night without liking ahead of time. Normally love those types of orders! However, when I click on the user, it says “Unable to load. Try again”, and will fail to load any type of user. I’m worried this is a scam. Anyone experience something similar?

Edit: this has been solved, thanks to everyone for their help!

Relisted Items not counting on closet insights?

I noticed that as of yesterday, items over 60 days that I relisted have not been showing up as new listings on my closet insights report. Previously, they did. Has anyone else noticed this?

Edit: Hey everyone, I did a pretty solid test with about 10 use cases and here is what I found:

-new items, showing up fine

-61-90 days; showing up on the filter, giving you all of
the prompts that it's ready to be relisted and meets the
criteria- not showing up as a fresh listing

-90+ listings; showing up fine

As usual, it looks like Poshmark is probably making changes and testing new features in their production environment without communication.

This Is Weird Why Can't I Speak To My Seller?

So an order arrived damaged & when I tried to reach out to my seller Poshmark doesn't allow me to. They say my seller can participate in the chat & when I try to go to their profile I can't & the listing is removed? Why?

Are you, a buyer, insulted by offers?

Why do you decline an offer? Is the offer not what you had hoped for and are insulated by it?
I can see the seller declining an offer but a buyer? The decline tab should be politely rephrased. Such as “respectfully declined”

Algorithm change again?

Did the algorithm change again on posh ? I’ve been listing consistently everyday and my sales were good. Now not so much ? Trying to figure out what I need to do now ? Anyone else experiencing this ?

Sold Pricing

Sold prices on listings usually represent the final amount an item sold for if purchased individually, or so I thought.

Items I purchased reflect the price they had the item listed for not what I paid for it. No, they were not bundles. Some were purchases via offers. Is that what you are noticing?

If so, this is terrible for comps. of actuals.
