What is the most rationally believable explanation you have heard for what happens to the human conscience after the body dies?

Valley Fever and Eczema (I’m Not Crazy)

I had valley fever in 2019. I had both EN (on my shins - how I knew I had it) and EM (all over my body) lesions. I traveled back east for the holidays after finding the EN lesions and feeling poorly and before I knew how badly it would hit me. I couldn’t eat. I would have 20 minutes long coughing spasms so bad it would give me a headache. I was lucky to find a doctor in Norfolk who had done his residency in San Diego and knew the disease. I was on Fluconazole for just under a year. Here’s the part that is not supported in any literature or believed by anybody:
I had had eczema on my left hand most of my adult life (roughly 30+ years at that time) and had told it was chronic and I could do was treat the symptoms. After I recovered from valley fever I noticed it was completely gone (it would wane to just a little at times but never fully go away). It is gone! There has not been any sign of it for seven years now.
As eczema is not a fungal disease it would not be cured by the Fluconazole. I honestly think the impact of the valley fever on my skin somehow cured the eczema.
It is unlikely I’ll find someone who would have also had this experience but I thought I’d put it out here anyway.
