4 more Master Angler gills from our lake up north

I’ve posted before about just how incredible our lake is for gills. My dad and I went out Friday originally setting out to bass fish, but ended up more on the gills. Fished about 7:30PM to dark. never really moved. I don’t know any other lake that consistently and easily produces gills this size, but it’s been like this my whole life (I’m about to turn 38). We’re truly blessed with it, although my parents are selling and moving sometime this year. We ended up catching about 25 in total with 17 on the stringer. Smallest keeper was 8.5” and the next smallest that the eyeball test said clearly was the next smallest was 9”. Also it‘s not common we’ll keep gills, but once or twice a year we’ll get a nice dinner of them as they’re my favorite freshwater fish to eat and the only ones my mom will eat.
