Shame on GM

I purchased a 2021 Trax LT redline AWD with 35.6 miles from a major used car dealership on 4/22/26. Two weeks after purchase, the driver information center in the instrument cluster started doing weird things. It would illuminate when car was started but would go dark during a trip or at start up it would not light up then light up after driving 2-3 miles or not light up at all. Sometimes it would it would dimly light up and getter brighter as the car was running. Since the car was under 30 day warranty from purchaser and they have a service department, I took the car to them. After the technician, examined the car he said he could not address the problem that the computer need to be “re-flashed”. I was instructed to take to a Chevy dealership and they would cover repairs. I took the car to Chevy dealership on 6/3. I received a call from my service advisor on 6/5 that there are some internal communication error within the driver information center. He said a new instrument cluster was ordered and won’t arrive until 6/10 or 6/11. He said car was safe to drive until then. The part arrive 6/10 and I took the car back to Chevy dealership. Late afternoon 6/11 the service advisor texted me the part was installed but would not communicate with the onboard computer. He said they contacted GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for assistance and was told no solution presently. As of 6/24 TAC had not provided a programming solution. The car is not safe to drive as the speedometer is involved with this issue. I have been in rental cars (paid for by seller and Chevy dealership) and now a loaner from Chevy dealership. As of 7/3 have not heard anything new and don’t expect to hear any update until Monday 7/6. I’m hoping Chevy corporate and GM sees this and gets this solved!
