Audeze Maxwell repairs after warranty expires: It's not worth it.

First of all: I’m not someone who’s spent my whole life using nothing but gaming headsets and is trying planars for the first time. I’m an audiophile who needed a practical, great-sounding wireless headset, which is why I bought the Maxwell. I also own the HE 1000 and LCD-XC, and I know how to take care of this type of headphone.

Nevertheless, after just over two years, the diaphragms on my Maxwell 1 have already started to warp, and the right side is now completely dead.

But the best part comes last: when I contacted my Audeze retailer in France where I bought the headphones and asked about repairs, they told me it would cost 234 euros.

That makes the repair pointless, so I’ll just have to throw my headphones away now.

I’m not angry—I’m just disappointed that Audeze is selling such disposable products to customers. I expected something different from them.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

X1 Carbon Gen 14 is amazing.

I've owned a lot of different laptops in the past, including ThinkPads, and I have to say... it's the best Windows laptop I've ever had. I’ve had mine for 3 days and I’m still thrilled.

It’s very slim and light, stays relatively quiet even under heavy use, has a great display, the keyboard is top-notch, the speakers are good, and it’s very easy to take apart and clean.

I can’t give a definitive verdict on the battery life yet, but subjectively, it looks very good (for a laptop with an OLED screen).

It’s perfect for my work and I can still play the latest games on it when I travel.

I mean… what more could you want?

Specs:

X7 368H

32GB

2.8K OLED non Touch

256GB SSD (because I have a good spare 2TB already)

Haptic touchpad was a tough decision, because I lost physical buttons for trackpoint with it.
