Someone in our last animal mega thread requested we do one where people can share pictures of their pets, so here we are!

This weeks mega thread, I want you to share your favorite pictures of your pets. And to make things more interesting, the picture with the most upvotes whenever I wake up on Monday the 24th will get a prize. What's the prize you ask? I don't know. I'll figure that out on Monday (if there is anyone or a business that would like to donate a prize that would be cool, Save me from having to go buy a gift card this weekend)

This is a local food hall, so there will be food and drinks available for purchase and I am also making a WPD branded postcard to give out.

This week is going to be HOT, so I want you to share your favorite "cool" activity. Is it going to a lake? Maybe you just eat a lot of ice cream or go sit inside a coffee shop and drink ice coffee. Is this the perfect time to go explore caves or buy the movie pass and sit inside the dark cold theaters all day. Whatever you do to stay cool, we want to hear it!

I had a few people reach out after the hobby post about this event, so I wanted to share it and hope more people join us tomorrow!

Basic idea is, you bring 5 of the same non store bought items, and leave with 5 different items. There's been things like: eggs, margaritas, cookies, flowers, luffa sponges, thrown pottery, flower pressing books.

It's at Tyson Park at the gazebo closest to the playground. Swap starts at 4, but we gather about 30mins before to hang out.

What: The general idea is: $5 gets you soup/salad/dessert. 4 local organizations will get up and do a 4 minute presentation on what they're doing for the community and how this small prize could help them reach a goal, and then you vote on your favorite. The organization that gets the most votes, gets the door money. Also you get a soup/salad/dessert dinner.

Where: 315 Kervela Ave.

Who: the presenters tonight are: Ryde Community Glow Pop Up Series, Scruffy City Real Talk, Red Book Improvement, Native Plant Rescue Squad.

Cost: $5 donation at the door. There are additional raffle tickets sold too.

Parking: plenty and free

Time: doors open at 5:30, presentations start at 6. Food is served after presentations and winner is announced around 7:30.

Share your favorite neighborhood park or green space! Is there a cool bike trail, really awesome kid play space, or maybe a really nice frisbee golf course that you frequent? Do you know the best place to roller blade or skateboard? Maybe there is just a great path to get your daily steps in. If there is a place you go to hang outside when you can't make it to your favorite hiking trail, we want to hear about it!

After driving 5 hours to visir town, my starter in my car decided to die. My insurance set me up with Integrity Towing and apparently they "don't do the Google" so I want to let people here know how amazing they were.

The tow truck driver was so kind and patient with me and when I asked for a recommendation that could help me on such short notice, he was like, "well we can repair cars and my boss is pretty fair on prices". So after a quick diag at Oriellys, I called the owner of Integrity and begged for help.

He not only came and picked up my car again (told me to not worry about calling my roadside assistance to set it up, so he did it for free), he also went way above and beyond to help me with the repair (worked on a Saturday, drove to Charlotte to get the part since apparently there were none available in Rock Hill)

I'm not going to call out his pricing specifically, but just know that I also work at a shop in my home town, and I know the general cost of this part/labor....my total was very generous.

I'm not sure If I am allowed to share phone numbers in this sub, but if anyone wants it, if you Google " Integrity Towing and Repair" Google AI does give you the correct address and number despite him not "doing the Google"

They absolutely saved me this weekend and I hope by sharing this review, someone else can have someone they can trust to reach out to in their time of desperate need.
