Flyback converter - Secondary side shorted
The goal of this converter is to have a 24V input with a 5V output, 5A output to power a raspberry pi (I understand I can easily buy a buck-converter on Amazon, however I'm trying to make one of every basic DC-DC converter to make sure I've got the basics of power electronics down.
Luckily I didn't plug in the converter before checking for shorts. It seems the 5V output pin is shorted to output GND. Also, checking across the output caps - I found them to be shorted, so I removed the diode (D2) to see if it was a polarity issue. Now the caps are not shorted together, however the 5V output is still shorted to GND.
Now, I cannot seem to think of anything that could fix this, or maybe it could be a grounding issue from the output of the diode (D2) connecting to Cout_1?
Can anyone tell me what is wrong here?
