Does anyone who’s bedbound take midodrine?

I’m seeing conflicting info about whether or not midodrine is safe if you are horizontal 24/7. Does anyone here take it safely while lying down?

I’m in need of a med to raise my chronic low BP and fludrocortisone is contraindicated for me.

My Smartwings review after two years

In August 2024 I bought Smartwings shades for my entire house - 16 shades total. Here’s my 2 year update.

Pros:

- The price is the best value I could find, if you want smart shades. I spent $4400 USD for 16 shades.

- The Smartlink accessory works well to combine any motors into their app, and the app is just fine (SmartLife). I have one Smartlink that covers my 1400sf house. The automations work seamlessly.

- Durability after two years is very good, no issues of wear and tear.

- Customer service was very helpful with measuring questions, and return of one damaged shade during shipping.

- The remotes work great. Awesome for when I’m laid up in bed with a migraine and can’t look at screens.

- Easy to install. Inside mounts are easier than outside but both are no problem.

- Fabric customizations are available on any shade, even when not indicated in the listing. I took advantage of this.

- Timely fulfillment. I had my shades in about two weeks.

- Frequent discounts are offered of 8%, plus if you have a large order you can request a custom discount in the chat window. I got 13% off my $4400 order.

- They look awesome and more expensive than they are to be honest. Guests are always impressed.

Cons:

- HomeKit motors were a waste of money. They never worked well and I could have saved $1000 if I just got regular motors and the Smartlink accessory from the get go.

- Need frequent charging, every 3 months or so. (Have not tried the solar panel because this doesn’t bother me that much).

- On outside mounted shades you can see the brackets on the top of the valance if the shade is low enough. This could bother some people as it ruins the aesthetic a bit.

Overall, I’m really happy with them and would recommend!

Symptoms always replacing eachother?

Does anyone else not have a relapsing/ remitting illness pattern but a steady level of different symptoms every day? Like one day I have brain fog, the next day it’s gone but I have fatigue instead, then the fatigue goes but breathlessness takes its place, on and on. As opposed to having all symptoms firing at once and then clearing up all at once. This is at baseline, not PEM.

Which toothbrush has the easiest button to push?

I have osteoarthritis in my thumbs and the button on my pro 1000 model is killing me.

Can anyone recommend a model that has the easiest button to push, as in requires the least amount of force? I don’t care about any other features. Thanks!

How much zero stim rest do you do per day?

For me it’s 7 hours per day of zero stim. The other 5 are on my phone, and then 12 hours of sleeping.

It’s very hard, very boring, and I still feel like it’s not enough.

Does anyone know when the Recover-Autonomic IVIG trial will be announcing results?

Does anyone know when results will be announced for IVIG? The study is apparently completed and ivrabadine results were announced in March.

Has anyone had custom earplugs made?

Has anyone had custom earplugs made by an audiologist? Specifically the sleep ones? Curious how much of an upgrade they’d be compared to foam. Thanks 🙏

Fodzyme giving me stomach ache

I tried fodzyme a couple times this week and it seems to give me a bad stomach ache about 30 mins after eating. It goes away fairly quickly, within an hour, and then I have no FODMAP related issues after that which is good. Is this something others experience?
