[Complete] [3.3K] [Speculative Dark Low Fantasy] Short Story about what happens between life and death
Genre/Tone: Speculative, dark, low fantasy, a bit humorous, character-driven dialogue and plot, layered dialogue
Blurb: What happens when the dead wake up confused and unwilling to believe their lives are over? Perhaps, they may find themselves in a bar that exists between life and whatever comes after. There, Des and Reynard guide souls through their final regrets, where they begin to realize what it really means to move on.
Length: 3342 words; around 30-40 minutes read
Deadline: Less than two weeks. Since this is a short story, I believe two weeks is more than enough.

- Multiple mentions of death (referenced, not depicted)
- Heightened feelings of grief
