What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to make a beaded necklace.

I have attached a picture of the wire that I'm using as well as the crimp beads and covers. I am also using 5x8mm rondelle beads.

The necklace is very rigid and tight. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to use spacers? Or leave a bigger gap on either end to allow a bit of movement of beads?
