This is just the jewelry I made last weekend. If there is interest I'd be happy to post more. Let me know your thoughts.
Hey, so I’m working towards this new startup with 9kt gold jewellery embellished with lab grown polkis and diamonds , and some of the rarest and most creative designs you’ll find no other brands be serving because everyone sticks to a niche of sell what’s already selling. There’s no motivation in the designs I’ve seen of other brands doing this same. But with the kind of designs and jewellery that I am already selling, I’d really like to know if you all would be interested if such a brand ad or product ever showed up on your stories . The above pictures are of the jewellery that I’ve already made in 18 & 22kt , but with the prices rising so quickly, I’m putting in efforts to make the same bridal and statement pieces that otherwise cost 20-45 lakhs in the 2-8 lakhs segment with full buybacks on the gold and diamonds. Would really like some insight from this forum before I start the new brand.
Hello, I'm still a little confused. How do I polish a piece of copper, brass or tin jewelry to a mirror shine? I read that sandpaper with different grades is used or colored sanding pastes. What would you advise me? What is the procedure? I use a Dremel for grinding and polishing. Is it true that for perfect polishing, first use felt, then cloth and finally a cotton attachment? Thank you very much for your advice
I’ve been making handmade jewelry as a hobby for a while, but orders are starting to increase and I’m struggling to keep up without feeling burned out. I still want everything to feel handmade, but production, packaging, sourcing materials, and social media are becoming overwhelming.
For those who scaled successfully, what helped most? Did buying supplies in bulk make a big difference? I’ve been looking at Alibaba for findings, chains, beads, and packaging, but I’m nervous about quality and minimum orders.
How do you balance growth without turning the creative side into a stressful factory job?
Hi, I'm new to jewellery making and I made this little silver house. I'd like to attach it to a hair clip, but not sure how to proceed. At first I thought to buy a silver hair clip to solder it to, but haven't managed to find any.
Is epoxy the way to go? Rivets? I'd appreciate any guidance!
Feedback on this piece? 💙
I have attached a picture of the wire that I'm using as well as the crimp beads and covers. I am also using 5x8mm rondelle beads.
The necklace is very rigid and tight. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to use spacers? Or leave a bigger gap on either end to allow a bit of movement of beads?
Hi all, I’m new to the hobby and am trying to flush set 3mm Sapphires in silver.
I’m using a 2.8mm Busch steel ball bur however it struggles to cut through the metal. The bur struggles to get through the metal unless I tilt it sideways which makes the hole non-uniform.
I have no idea what’s going wrong - any tips?
My hanging motor flex shaft should spin at 18000 RPM, and I’m using lubricant.
How fast should I be spinning and how much pressure? And is it normal for burs to stop being effective after 2 mins of use?
I have an aquamarine ring emerald with diamonds chips on a delicate band. I see many earrings and necklaces that could match a set well but want something original. Looking for someone to help perfect my design and make. Please PM me if this is up your alley.

I work mostly on jewelry-scale metal forming and full-size English wheels always felt way too large for what I do. So I started experimenting with a compact alternative.
This setup uses:
a 3-way G clamp as the frame
an M10 mounted steel caster ball as the upper contact
a large rolling support wheel below
The idea is to create controlled compound curves and smooth tension-formed surfaces on small pieces of metal using repeated light passes — somewhere between an English wheel, planishing tool, and doming tool.
I have no idea yet whether this will work brilliantly or horribly, but mechanically it feels promising enough to experiment with.
I’ve jokingly named it the “English Balls”.
Curious what experienced metal shapers / jewelers think this setup might actually be capable of.
My friend cut her finger while gardening with a sickle. Luckily, the injury is healing okay-ish now. She has a lovely macabre style in her art, so I made these earrings as a gift for her.
The sickles are cut from fine silver sheet, the “blood” is poppy-red vitreous enamel, and the handles are wrapped in sterling silver wire.
I have been sitting on this photo for a few days now but I really wanted to share this one here. It is a teardrop labradorite named Oracle’s Glance because of the way the blue and green flash catches the light.
It takes a lot of patience at the bench to get these intricate copper wraps right. It has a lovely weight to it at 49g and the way the beads and swirls frame the stone is just brilliant to see in person. I am really happy with how it turned out.
I do have a shop but I'm not prepared to share it unless anyone is interested.
The labradorite is stunning and I caught the light just right in this picture in my garden. I just think it looks a bit messy but it kinda reminds me of Medusa. Actually, I might just call it Medusa Reflection. What do you think?
Love love love making beaded necklaces that are inspired by nature 🌸🌸🌸
