Chick having trouble balancing/walking
We got some baby chicks at tractor supply about a week ago and I've noticed one of them has been having trouble walking the past couple days. It was doing fine before. We did have an incident with the water bowl leaking a few days ago and unfortunately lost one of them, could it be because of that? Could it be from pine shavings? They like to pick at the bedding and we haven't given them grit or anything yet. This is our first time having chicks. I don't want to lose another :(
edit: I realized I probably should've described it a bit more. It can walk, eat and drink but sometimes trips and lays down more than the other ones. It tripped earlier and the other ones were digging shavings on top of it and it just laid there until I put my hand on the side then it ran but immediately went to laying again (they're still scared of us so they run from our hands). Then when I picked it up it kinda shook its beek against my hand like maybe it wants down but when I put my hand on the bottom of the brooder to let it down it just stayed in my hand for a while. It did stop shaking it beek though so maybe it just wanted to be near the others. Also two of the chicks are bigger than the other two even though they're supposed to be bantams but I'm wondering if the two bigger ones are bantams or not or maybe they're just a day or two older? Could the bigger ones have maybe injured the one with walking issues?
