Switch 2 - Mario Kart World bundle - Transfer

I have MKW and when I bought the console the bundle was the same price as the console only so I bought the bundle. I figured I could give a friend the code but it doesn't have a code. I logged into my console now and it shows up as the first slot in the home screen. All my friends in the immediate area also bought the MKW bundle so I can't give it to them via NFC or whatever.

I have a friend who just got a Switch 2 and didn't get MKW. Is it possible that he could log into my Switch 2, claim MKW to his account and then be able to download and play it on his Switch 2?

Water Spilled on Switch 2 Dock (No Console Inside)

Hi,

A bottle of water on my desk was knocked over and some spilled under my Switch 2 dock, which didn't happen to have my Switch 2 inside. I immediately unplugged it, dried it off and sprayed it thoroughly with a can of compressed air. I'm gonna leave it for a few days. What I'm wondering is, when I decide to plug it in again, will it be safe to test it by putting the Switch in the dock or is there a risk that will damage the Switch 2 if any dock components were shorted? Or would it, worst case, just not work?

Can't share pictures to phones!! 😵

I used to send pics/vids from my Switch 1 to my phone (Galaxy S22), no problem. Scan the QR code, and it worked fine.

NO LONGER. Now it won't connect at all. I have tried with 3 different phones. None will connect to the Switch wifi. (One is a 7yo Samsung with no recent updates, so I think it is a SWITCH problem.)

The attached pic is the error I get after scanning the first QR code...

Plz help. Any way to fix this?

Or is there a go-around with USB connection?

I'd take anything at this point. Just want to share fun moments with friends and fam ❤️

(NOTE: Switch 1, and all phones were Android. But it shouldn't matter, since I could share photos from the same advice to same phone, until recently...)

Nintendo switch lite triggers broken, I need help!

My cousin broke my switch but u still can see/hear the buttons inside work but, is this an easy fix at home? My bf kinda knows about stuff like this but wanted a second opinion. I don’t know much about tech and stuff so I’d greatly appreciate sone help! And- if it is an easy fix at home what should I order exactly? And if it’s not, how much am I looking at to pay In order to get it fixed?

Edit: done thinking and asked my brothers who know abt this stuff, honestly just going to sell it…I wanted to jailbreak it but I heard it’s pretty hard with the lites. Looking into other mini handheld consoles now!

Sent my switch 2 to be fixed at best buy but have a question.

So the guy at best buy said it would be ready in 2 - 4 weeks to fix my switch but feel like that really ain't the truth. Anyone have their consoles sent to be fixed and actually not take the time they said it would take? (It has almost been three weeks since I gave them my switch 2)

I’m having a problem with my switch 2 reading cartridges

Just recently I’ve been having a very weird problem with my switch 2, it’s having trouble reading cartridges but it’s very inconsistent.
For example, today I used my switch for about an hour, using two different games, when I put in a third different cartridge, I selected it on the home page and the screen froze for a second then the game didn't open, then I restarted the console and I got an error message saying the cartridge couldn’t be read. This has also caused games to crash while im playing them, then the console doesn’t detect that there is a game in at all.

What is happening? What could be causing this? I thought I would try and get more information before I spent the roughly $200 to get Nintendo to fix it according to their service site

I accidentally go Vaseline inside of my Joy Cons and don't know what to do.

I left my Vaseline in my backpack with my switch. I didn't know that it was open so when I got off from work it turned into a puddle with my switch in it. Any tips? I plan on leaving them in a hot place so it can just drip out.

Is my joycon 2 with any deffect?

Is this normal?
I bought a Nintendo Switch 2 recently and noticed a bit of overshoot on one of my Joy-Cons. It seems more noticeable on the right one, probably because I use it more.
It doesn’t really affect gameplay, but it bothers me knowing it’s there. I noticed it the most while navigating the menus in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where the stick seems to rebound slightly in the opposite direction after I let go.
Have any of you experienced this as well? Is it considered normal, or should I contact Nintendo for a warranty replacement?

I've been playing a lot of Splatoon 3 on my Switch OLED, to a point where both Joysticks are kinda worn out.

I'd like to get them fixed/replaced. What would be the best way to go about it?

My screen flickers occasionally when I dock my Switch 2

Hi everyone. I was talking to support about this issue, and was kicked off and I can’t start up a new chat. But I have had this issue when docking my Switch 2 (see attached photo). The console appears to work fine. This has happened a few times over the past few days and other times has been acting normally. Has anyone seen something similar? Could it be a potential dock issue or maybe an issue with the HDMI cable? Thank you for your help!

Switch 2 owners, will this switch 1 case fit a switch 2? Orzly carrying case.

Just had this removed from the Switch 2 sub as I haven't enough karma there, so hopefully this works here.

(Ignore the white specks I haven’t a clue what they are. I know it’s a bit dirty 🤷‍♀️)

I’m planning on getting a switch 2 sometime soon, and I’d like to know if this case could fit one or not. I know for sure with the joycons attached it would not, but what about just removing them and storing them elsewhere? From what I’ve seen online, it looks like the biggest size change is in width, not length. There’s also a little bit of wiggle room vertically as well.

I’m spending a ton of money already on a switch 2 obviously and carrying cases are one of the cheaper accessories out there, but I’d still like to reuse this case instead of getting a new one. I'm quite partial to it still and other than the dust its in good condition. Really don’t mind that it wouldn’t be totally perfect with having to remove the joy cons. I’d picture them with my old switch in this photo, but they’ve long been dead to me lol.

If anyone’s got the same brand of switch 1 case (orzly) with a switch 2, how does it go?

Transferring save data from Switch 1 to switch 2

Hey everyone, I've been trying to connect my Switch 1 to Switch 2 transfer and for some reason it wont allow me to connect claiming it can't communicate w/ the other console. Is there a way to fix it? I was able to connect to my switch account but not showing any progress.

so friend has pokemon z a for the switch 1, i own a switch 2 if i buy the upgrade pack can i play without the cartridge, i know that if u do it in howgarts legacy u actually get a digital copy of the switch 2 version, does it work like that for Pokemon ZA?

Question about upgrading to Switch 2

A couple of years ago my family purchased a original switch and we had a lot of fun with it. Now, I have my own money and want to get a Switch 2, but I have a major question: when you move accounts over between consoles, is the save data separated from the profile? What I mean is that all of my save data for all the games I've played, which I would like to preserve, Is attached to a profile with a Nintendo account that is not mine. When I upgrade I would like to take my pre-existing save data and attach it to a new profile with my own personal Nintendo Account, but I don't know if this is possible. So I ask all of you, is it?

Charging issue with my switch 2.

Switch 2 charging issue

I havnt had my switch 2 for long at all. I never had issue with it until yesterday where I spent two hours charging it and it only went up 2% from dead. I tried restarting, restarting the battery, changing cords, the box, the outlet and tried both charging ports while also making sure they are leaned as they both look very clean. I am lost at what else to do. Any other suggestions? It will even say the switch is charging but it gains almost no power and it will even lose power while I’m not even playing anything faster than it gets charge.

Is this a normal Switch 2 dock fan noise?

It almost sounds like the fan has a bearing that’s going bad but that just might be how it sounds? I only really hear it when putting my ear up against it. Before I made a ticket to Nintendo, I was hoping someone here could let me know if this was normal or not.

Edit: as an aside, I did try taking a duster to it to see if that would help. It did not.

How likely is it that a used game was copied with the mig switch?

Hi guys, I bought a used game (donkey kong country hd returns) and I wanted to ask how likely the ban was. A friend told me that if he cloned the game with MIG Switch I will be banned, but is it true? I don't know how widespread the MIG Switch is, but I hope not otherwise if I were to be banned is there a way to fix it?
I live in Europe, so I don't know How likely is it that the game I bought is cloned with MIG Switch

I feel dumb for not being able to dock my switch 2

I recently got a switch 2 from my sister’s ex-boyfriend after their breakup and it is not sitting on its dock properly. I have been trying to dock it for 15+ minutes but it just doesn’t want to sit or charge in its proper place and just slides around, I hope he didn’t break it. It does still charge normally and is able to turn on. Please help.

EDIT: The part where the switch actually clicks into seems to be wobbly and gets crooked
