Is the switch 1 digital store available on the switch 2?
This is probably a dumb question but I have never owned a switch. I want to buy a switch 2 for my daughter for xmas but I have heard the switch 2 library is underwhelming. I know switch 2 can play switch 1 games but is the switch 1 library of digital games available for purchase on switch 2?
I would rather buy her physical games but for now I do not trust that she would not lose the games.
Rocket league taking up 43GB of storage

Can’t get access to parental controls account
On multiple switches we have parental controls set up but the email that’s set up with the parent account dosent exist due to it being an old work email. With my son buying his switch with his own money I thought I’d let him take off the controls but we have no way to. We also don’t know the pin to the switch. Every time we ask Nintendo for help they say we need to find old bank statements to prove our identity but our bank dosent have any of them for some reason.
My switch 1 keeps turning on and off while charging
I haven't used my switch 1 for about a week while on vacation, now i'm trying to charge it but every time it's plugged in it just show an icon in the top left for a second, turns off and then turns on to show the same icon, leading to a loop.
I've removed the sd card, game cartridge and when i force reset by holding the power button it just goes to the nintendo logo and then goes back to the loop.
Edit: more info, the switch has been charching for a while but it's not taking any charge in, my charger is the official switch 2 charger and it also is working normally with my switch 2, i also need to get it to turn on because my ssbu virtual cart is in there with my dlc.
Switch 2 right speaker making clicking/buzzing noise after system update, any ideas?
Hey, my Nintendo Switch 2’s right speaker has started making a repetitive clicking/buzzing noise whenever the built-in speakers are active. It even happens with the system volume turned all the way down to 0.
The issue started right after the system software updated during the initial first setup.
A few details:
- The noise stops immediately if I plug in headphones.
- It also stops when the console is asleep/docked.
- The speaker seemed completely fine when I first turned the console on.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Would really appreciate any troubleshooting ideas or repair suggestions.

What Are These Black Spots on My Nintendo Switch Dock?
Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what these black spots might be.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What would you recommend using to clean this type of finish without damaging it? Would isopropyl alcohol be safe, or would you recommend another cleaning method?
Switch 2 screen issues with stuck pixels?
Has anyone else got dead/stuck pixel issues on a brand new Switch 2? I’m just checking if it’s a widespread issue? I recently bought a brand new Switch 2 from Argos UK and when I got it home and powered it on there were 3 stuck pixels on the screen. As far as I know they were stuck as they displayed white on a black background. I went and took it back to swap it but the model they brought out also had a couple of stuck pixels on. This happened a few days ago. I recently went back today and asked the manager if I could inspect one to see if another model had the same issue and unfortunately it did. That’s three out of three switches that I’ve looked at that all had at least one or two stuck pixels. Is this a widespread issue? Or is it common? as I really want to buy the console. I know stuck pixels aren’t the end of the world but for a brand new device the pixel would annoy me. Once you see them you can’t unseen them. Tried to post this in the Nintendo Switch 2 sub but it got removed and directed here.
How can I transfer Some games to my switch 2 and leave the rest on my switch 1? :(
Hi guys! I just got a switch 2 for my birthday (yeepee) and I’d like to transfer SOME games and leave the rest on my switch 1 for my sister! How does this work? On the switch one we have multiple Nintendo accounts. So when I set up the switch 2 what can I do to only select some games and leave the rest on the 1?
Thanks for the help you guys are always super helpful!💜

Liquid damage to port, will be data be lost?
Summary: Getting my USB C port replaced after liquid damage, will I be still have all saved data, or how will I need to retrieve it?
Edit: It's a Switch OLED btw
Quite a while ago now my Switch randomly stopped charging. It was still running and everything was working fine except it wouldn't charge (did all the troubleshooting, tried charging with the dock etc) I couldn't get it to charge and it inevitably died.
I then sent it off to Nintendo as it was still within warranty, they said my USB C had liquid damage (not sure how or when that happened as I never split anything on it) They said thay voided the warranty so it would cost £200 to repair (they would just replace the whole thing with a refurbished)
I thought that was a little steep considering the issue is localised to the USB C port, so I've now handed it over to a local repair/refurbishment company to replace the port (for £40)
I'm just wondering whether all my saved data will be okay? I assumed it would as the Switch was still working just not charging. I'm just not sure how it all works with game cards and accounts. I'm mainly hoping my animal crossing island will be there. I had Nintendo Online at the time, and that backs everything up right? So if I reinstate my online membership it should all be okay? However when I login on the website it shows my games and prior subscription but it says I have no consoles linked to my account, is that because my Switch has been powered off for quite a few months?
Any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated (I'm a just girl praying her much loved animal crossing island is okay 😔)
is this worth picking up for my switch oled?
asking because it’s currently on sale, i usually buy sandisk.
Won't turn on and isn't working
I've tried hard restart, not working. I plug it into the dock, the green light flashes for a second and turns off. I plug in directly to the charger and no battery charge sign. Please help. Also it's a regular switch
how to safely clean this cartridge?
it’s a switch 1 splatoon 2 cartridge and has nail polish on it.
edit: got it clean and working with scraping it off and then using iso alcohol
I dropped off my joy con at UPS for repairs, but I received an email from Nintendo that they cancelled the service request an hour after drop off
I obviously didn't cancel the service request. I wouldn't have dropped it off at UPS. So what do I do? What happens to my joy con? I know they won't do any repairs, but does Nintendo ship it back for free? I don't exactly have the money for a new joy con right now.
Switch lite is stuck on this error message. Can not turn off nor hard reset
Is this normal or should i make warranty claim?
Bought about a year ago but pretty much exclusively used in docked mode. As you can see there is a lot of rainbow pixels in the top corner there but some sources say this is normal due to the ips panel.
