Does Nintendo ban games from sites like CDKeys?

Is it possible to buy Switch 2 game keys from resellers like CDKeys or Loaded, or does Nintendo block that stuff?

I’m also struggling a bit with money, but my dream is to get a Switch 2 one day. The only thing that worries me is how expensive the games are, so I’m looking for any cheaper/legal ways to build a library.

How to know if a physical game copy was stolen or lost

So I had a physical copy of tomodachi life and I’m pretty sure some kid took it from my room, his mom said she checked everywhere and he doesn’t have it, I’m new to the switch and wanted to know if there’s any way to know through his switch or mine to confirm he took it like through our accounts or something ??

Time limit on physical cartridge?

Maybe I’m just behind the times on the Switch 2 and maybe this has been rehashed ad nauseum. Got ours a few months ago and got hit with this message while playing TOTK. It’s a physical copy and the system is telling me to I need to connect because my time limit is almost up? This is my primary system, it’s a factory Switch 2 and Zelda, and there are no parental settings set up. My issue is that I’m at sea for the next week and can’t get internet on the Switch 2. Just curious what’s up with this. Thanks!

How would I even go about fixing this…?

I’m on vacation right now, and I guess I handled the bag that my switch2 was in a bit too roughly at some point, because the right stick(?) snapped off 😬 is this fixable with super glue or something, or does it need some sort of professional repair, etc…?? Thanks!!

Switch 2 flickering black square

So I just received the Switch 2 in the mail on 5/19 and today (5/21) I noticed my screen had a black square on the top left which looks like screen damage. The screen was just fine when I was using it on 5/19 and earlier before I left for work (5/20). I took a screenshot from the switch 2 while it was doing this and it looks normal so I know it’s not a graphical issue. It could’ve been my sister who might’ve caused it by grabbing my case full of Nintendo games under my desk below the switch. I will ask her in the morning since it’s very late now. What would be the best way to contact Nintendo and how can I ensure I get a replacement or get things resolved in the off chance that she cause it?

Switch 2 Battery Not Taking Charge

Like the title states, Switch 2 won't charge. It was bought about about 6 months ago. Use it almost everyday. Used official charger, did the battery reset and both usb-c ports say "can't charge". At one point, it turned off due to low battery. I then plugged it in. Came back maybe 5 mins later and it was super hot front and back. I know this sounds dumb but theres a "smell" from the vents. Has anyone seen anything about switch 2 batteries being "fried"? Is my best option getting it fixed by Nintendo?. No warranty on it though. I know I know..it was an Xmas gift from my mother to my son. She didn't know. Appreciate any help.

The Nintendo switch online app is not as good as the PlayStation app

Haven’t got any notifications in a week or two while I was on vacation . Did they get an update for the app?

My Switch is completely unresponsive, only showing an orange screen.

As you can see, my switch is showing an orange screen. It’s a vanilla Switch 1. I just noticed this morning that it was displaying orange on the charging station. None of the buttons do anything. It’s completely unresponsive, the joycons don’t even connect to it. What happened????

Old NintendoSwitch Batterylife

So I remember getting my switch around the time of release and I've been wondering if there's anything that could help with the batterylife? Maybe delete something or do something on the software? How long is it expected to last? I don't really play demanding games like TotK very often and mainly play ACNH.

Nintendo Switch V1 stuck on black screen after sitting in sleep mode for a month

So I think I messed up my old Switch V1.

About a month ago I was playing a game and instead of fully powering the console off, I just tapped the power button and left it in sleep mode. Then I completely forgot about it for almost a month.

Now it won’t boot at all. The screen stays completely black no matter what I do.

I plugged it into my PC and it shows up as “NVIDIA APX” in USBTreeView.

What’s weird is the console does seem to take power. I connected it to a decent power bank and it slowly pulls around 3W, so it’s not totally dead. But it never shows the charging icon or boots.

I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (with no charger connected), but nothing changed. Still just a black screen and APX mode on PC.

USBTreeView info:

  • VID 0955 / PID 7321
  • NVIDIA APX detected
  • Self powered: yes
  • Around 32mA demand when idle

At this point I’m starting to think the battery got drained too deeply from sitting in sleep mode for so long, and now the Switch is basically stuck because the battery voltage is too low. Has anyone had this happen before? Is this usually a battery issue, or could something else have failed?

Couple of questions for hardware and how it works

1 is it possible to always have it docked, without having to touch it again? - if the dock is connected tk a tv, and j want to llay it on the tv (Do i need to turn in on and off? Or do anything?

  1. Would i only have to touch it to switch games if i have them physically?

  2. Would it be possible to pair/use a normal controller/fx a playstation controller? How do i connect it? And once it is connected, would i then have to touch my switch again (just charge my controller physically with a seperate charger?)

  3. Is it still not possible to "make" a physical game copy, into a digital game (i think j have two physical games, which i then would have tk switch between, u nless i can do it on the ingame store.

  4. Can i play endless on tbe switch if it is docked? And connected to a tv? (And how often would i have to charge an external controller?)

  5. Also, how do the sd work? - if i buy some games on the online store, i then jjst have to install, and uninstall to make room for other games rigth? - if j have a game - play jt, uninstall and install a new game? - so the sd just determines how many games i can have installed at once right? - and if i uninstall a game, to make room for another - if i then want to play the first one again (and reinstall it) will all my save data/my progress be lost? Or where will/is jt stored? (Is all game progress saved on my account like steam?)

Switch 2 battery while flying?

Hi peeps
Just a random question if anyone has solutions for long distance flights (7+ hrs) now that powerbanks cannot be used in flight...
As the Switch 2 battery only last few hours, how to charge while in the air and keep playing?
Not sure how many aircrafts would have USB-C on the seat and whether it is actually powerful enough to charge Switch 2 etc

Annoying Loud Beeping Issue Located (Long Post)

I tried to post on Switch2 subreddit but it was removed from not having enough karma so I am posting here. I am making post here for awareness because I could not find any other post about this issue on the switch 2. On to the post…

Hello! I am so happy to be making this post here because I feel like I have been going CRAZY for months. I just found out TODAY where a very loud and very annoying vibration plus beeping noise that wakes me up at like 4am and goes on for anywhere between a few seconds to 5 minutes. I could not for the life of me locate the source of the noise until this morning when I had my switch 2 docked to my bedroom tv. IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS NOISE YOU ARE NOT GOING CRAZY. I did NOT know the joycons were even CAPABLE of making this noise. I attached a video of how I reproduced this noise but believe me when it naturally happens, it is a lot louder and a lot more annoying.

Alright now for the context! So I have a day 1 switch 2, stood in line for hours at the midnight release so as fresh off the press as it can get. Naturally I understand that there are issues that can happen with day 1 devices which is why I am thankful I purchased a warranty and I am going to get it switched out (heh) today.

For the past 3-4 months, the joycons would not stay connected to the switch 2 console while in handheld mode. It wouldn’t stay disconnected for long, like it would randomly pull up the ‘connect controller’ screen right in the middle of the game and I would have to detach and reattach the joycon to even try to connect it. It was a slight annoyance but not annoying enough to get it checked out just yet. It was happening a bit more frequently like 2-3 times a week the past few months and I was going to go make a claim on the warranty but life got busy and I delayed. Honestly I think it is a faulty rail on the left joycon.

ALRIGHT so here comes the part about why I am making this post today! I guess with the faulty rail that seemingly randomly disconnects… I guess when the switch 2 is idle and the joycon disconnects from connection to the switch 2, it seems like the switch 2 will try to ‘locate’ the ‘missing’ joycon. Hence the annoying freaking noise. The only reason I can even try to duplicate this noise (nobody would ever believe me if I didn’t) is that when I found out that the joycon was doing its crack of dawn beeping nonsense and through searching through the controller settings that there is a locate feature for the joycons. If you go to the place where you connect controllers on the system and hold the icon of one of the joycons, it will start making a not so annoying beep + vibration. WHICH IS WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING BUT WAY LOUDER AND A LOT STRONGER OF A VIBRATION.

I am sorry for the long post but you cannot believe the joy I have locating this issue that wakes me up between 4am-8am and I could not locate the noise for the life of me FOR MONTHS because I did not know the switch 2 was capable of making this noise. If anyone else has experienced this, I want to assure you that you have not gone crazy. I swear nobody would believe me if I didn’t have proof of the noise…

At first glance does this appear too good to be true?

Because it turned out to be legit. $140 for all games shown brand new.
