Ranking list question

Now that the first ranking list is out, is this only for the non-EU students or this is the list for both EU and non-EU?

I don’t know what to expect…

Ranking list

Just went through the call for applications carefully and it states the ranking is based solely on the test score. No CV, no motivation letter, nothing else, how can this be possible?

For a competitive CS and AI programme this seems surprising. Has anyone been through this process and can confirm this is actually how it works? And for those who were invited to the optional interview — did it actually change anything or was it just a formality?

Asking specifically about the non-EU first round selection.

Can someone explain the pre-selection logic?

So I just got a conditional admission email for Applied CS & AI at Sapienza for 2026. Should be happy about it but honestly I’m more confused than anything.

Browsing this subreddit I’ve seen people with objectively better GPAs and high SAT scores getting rejected at pre-selection with “GPA does not meet the programme’s requirements.” Meanwhile I got through with much lower scores on paper.

And on top of that, conditional admission still doesn’t even guarantee a spot on the final ranking list. So some academically stronger candidates got hard rejected while I passed, and I might still not make it anyway.

Is this country quotas? GPA conversion issues? Document problems people didn’t mention? Because from the outside it genuinely looks random.

Anyone who’s actually been through this process and understands how the pre-selection criteria works — please explain.
