Advice please? Period came before (cyclical) progesterone stopped. I’m new to HRT!

I’m two days from stopping my 14 day cycle of 200mg progesterone and my period has already come.

This the first month I’ve started taking HRT ( regular cycles, taking for Peri) so I assume it’s just my body getting used to it.

Anyone else had this? I’d assumed my period would alter to fit within the cycle of progesterone and come when I stop in 2 days?

Cyclical Progesterone

How do you feel for the 14 days you don’t take Progesterone? I’m on cyclical 200mg and I’ve just started but wondering what I’ll feel like for those 14 days I’m not on it?

Do let me know your experiences?

Nervous about starting HRT

A bit nervous to start HRT for peri. Dr has said she thinks my symptoms are on the soft side but worth a try. Am 45, regular periods, mood swings, sleep starting to be disturbed, fatigue (bad!) really bad brain fog and concentration, weight gain and anxiety that comes and goes, general malaise.
Sometimes I feel great and fine and then other times I am just exhausted and have no zest for life.
I also have Hashimotos ( levels recently tested) so it all feels like it’s combined for a perfect storm. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just life and aging and other times I think it must be Peri.

I’m worried about the side effects, particularly weight gain but it’s been a bit brutal the last year and I don’t think I can deal with any more weight.

I’ve been given the gel ( 1 pump) and 2x pro tablets to take at night.
Just wondering if I wait to sync with my cycle and start taking the pro at 14 days into my cycle and then estrogen once my period starts or just start taking it together?
