Been really enjoying the Nate, Chris and Ilan vocals lately

I don’t think anyone is too surprised that Ilan sounds great, but I feel Chris and Nate have stepped their game way up, not that they were ever bad, but the confidence levels are awesome and really seem like they’ve expanded their range, too. Actually having mic levels high enough more often than not is also nice. Low mic levels for backing vox has kind of always been a problem with Foos, back to when Taylor and the girls were doing it. But anyway it seems better lately and I am loving it, it adds so much.

I also feel like since they came back in ‘23 there has been more of an emphasis on backing vocals, which makes it feel more like more of a team effort - something like Caught in the Echo having a whole backing vox part (even if, yes, it is just Dave on the record) is cool.

Ilan really adds a nice element and stabilizing agent to it, but they have all been sounding great. Nate’s vocals on the Seven cover are so much more confident now. Anyway, shout out to the boys for putting in the work.

Foo Fighters - The Teacher, live in Stockholm

I am glad they are playing this again, I definitely thought it might end up exclusive to the previous tour. Still sounds awesome, maybe a little looser but in a good way. I also love the commitment to playing such a long kind of meandering song, even if maybe not the whole audience has the patience. They should have the same confidence in some other deeper cuts. Anyway, not my video, I am on a different continent but very nice footage by user Hujoppi on YouTube

What songs did the other band members play during band intros in Oslo?

Apparently they all did bits of songs from bands they were in. We’ve all seen Ilan shredding New Regime and there are a couple clips of Shifty doing Invincible by NUFAN. Presumably Pat did some Germs, Nate did some SDRE and Rami did some Wallflowers. Which songs?? Or was it just Ilan and Chris (and a great pretense to get Ilan out there lol)

Foo Fighters - Wheels, Oslo (First time since 2022)

Rami owned this one, but nice to see with the full band again. I have such a soft spot for this song. Obligatory “not my video” disclaimer, from Adrian er Kul on YouTube.

New Trailer for Foos on Hot Ones Versus out tomorrow - this will be fun!

I hadn’t seen the format before this, assumed it was more like the regular Hot Ones, watched Frankie Muniz vs Bryan Cranston this morning. They have to answer questions about each other and stuff, gonna be fun. Not sure where I’d put my money now

New Shifty interview on Rockonteurs Podcast

This was an interesting one, I was looking forward to it with the precedent the band has set in interviews lately of being a bit more willing to talk about the last few years, and that seemed to be the case. Among many other things, he talked a bit on the aftermath of Taylor's death, the recording of BHWA and the first few shows back in 2023. Also had one of the more detailed accounts of recording One by One I've heard.

I liked what he said about gauging reaction by the hardcore Foo fans he recognizes at shows. Also lowkey explained himself on not recognizing Sonic Youth, you know he read those comments lol

It flitted between, occasionally quite heavy, topics a little faster than I would have liked, but an interesting interview that covered a lot of ground.

Foos before and after the Spit Shine music video

Fun little behind-the-scenes. Rami is fabulous as usual. Nate is bemused. Chris forgot his name.

Fun little BTS video of the making of Spit Shine at Studio 606. Looks like the band and extras had a great time.

This is from the new batch of interviews since Pat’s back! I do wish they’d have talked a bit more about the songs themselves but nice interview with Dave, Nate, Pat and Chris

NGL I always had doubts it happened the way Dave told the story, it absolutely did 🤣 the band looks like they simply cannot believe it’s happening.
