There's a new song out by the artist Olivia Rodrigo called "the cure" and the intro to the song is eerily similar to the intro to "Everlong". There are some differences, but every time it comes on the radio at work I get excited for "Everlong". Anybody else think this songs intro is a ripoff similar to Vanilla Ice and "Ice Ice Baby"?

Im a long time fan but never got a chance to see the band live and yesterday it finally did happen

It took place in Ernst Happel stadium in Vienna. I had tickets in the front pit and arrived 1 hour after doors opened and still managed to be close to the stage around 10 meters. Right when i arrived the first support act started it was Fat dog and let me tell you what and amazing band. Next were the Idles and the stadium started to get packed and the bands energy was uncanny even got the chance to see their guitarist right in front of me since they like to interact with audience and join the pit.

And then the Foos came on and started with All my life and the whole stadium exploded then continued with their biggest hits and they put on 3hours of freakin rock n roll show. I watched interview with Dave where he said that after every show he puts his guitar in the air that covers his face and says thank god its fuckin over and i think he did it here as well :D

3 hours is fckin long time can't imagine how exhausted they must have been but I feel like this is the only band i can watch for 3 hours and not get bored.

My biggest highlights were of course their favourite hits, the acoustic thing they do at the end of the catwalk had really good atmosphere, drum and guitar solo of fucking Ilan Rubin i felt the kick drum inside of my whole body :D and i have to mention the song I didnt think I would enjoy the most but I did and it was the Teacher.

If you have never seen the band before and you are about to, you are in for a fucking wild ride lets rock on!

Was Dave passing boats & the Kingdome?! Spotify says the lyric is “kingdom” but I sure hope it’s the former.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to make this post, because I'm so freaking excited and I know you guys will understand!

I live in the Netherlands, and my brother and I went to the Pinkpop festival in 2015. The lineup was amazing, but the Foos were the cherry on top of the cake! First headliner Muse was amazing. After they finished the set, news came in that *someone* broke his leg in Sweden, and it wasn't sure if the Pinkpop show could go on.

The next day we heard that Dave had to undergo surgery and thus couldn't perform in the Netherlands. I was absolutely devastated, as I had not bought tickets for their Ziggo Dome show later that year as 'I was going to see them at Pinkpop already anyway' and tickets were just too expensive for me.

Fast forward to sometime last year. My brother now living in Austria messaged me saying 'hey, the Foo Fighters are coming to Vienna, do you want to come over and see them?' And I immediately was like 'ah yESS HELLYEAH!' But also 'I don't know if I can do that, because it's a 10 hour drive to Tirol (where my brother lives) and then another 5 to Vienna and I suffer from Cerebral Palsy, which makes me wheelchair dependant, and severe PMDD. My energy level is usually very low and I need a lot of time to recover from everything.' But my mom said 'we're just gonna go, you need this. I'll drive.' And she even comes along to the gig tonight, even though she doesn't even like the Foos that much. (She says she's going to count the amount of times Dave says 'fucking' tonight lol)

Tuesday we traveled to my brother, and yesterday we made the trip to Vienna and met family. Last night I cried my eyes out because I was so goddamn exhausted from all the travelling and my whole body hurt. I slept like crap so I'm still pretty tired, but it all doesn't matter anymore BECAUSE I'M GOING TO SEE THE FOO FIGHTERS TONIGHT! <3

Maybe Dave & co. don't care so much about it anymore but I rather like this album. Has anyone seen anywhere ... Sorta like in Cobain's journals where there were half scribbled lyrics randomly on certain pages and in some cases full songs (Nirvana) but perfect in the sense that I could FINALLY know some of the weird lyrics to songs that no-one otherwise could really be sure-of ... Anyone seen any handwritten or more "official" actual lyrics...some of the stuff I see everywhere... I dunno...I don't think they're right...right now I'm interested in Good Grief and I just don't think Dave would've written some of the verses the way they're listed...not even good English...and I don't know him to be particularly stupid or not-well-read so... that kinda thing feels like someone once typed what words sounded like and the whole world (internet), now, many years later has just barfed-up the same drivel...

I have a spare ticket to the Foo Fighters show in Berlin tomorrow, Front of Stage 1. And I don't want to sell it - I want to give it to the right person.

If you've been having a rough one lately, like actually rough, not just "bad week" rough, this is for you. If you can't really remember the last time something good just happened without you having to grind for it. Or if you can’t remember when what the last time you had fun.
