Sonic Highways is one of FF’s lowest rated albums on RYM and I constantly see people regarding it as one of their least fav albums. I gave it a full listen the other day and I thought it aged really well. Sure, it’s not Wasting Light but songs like Congregation, What Did I Do/God as my Witness, Outside, and In the Clear are all classics. I am not a huge fan of The Feast and the Famine, but I don’t think there are any BAD songs on the album. It also has some of the best FF solos ever. I am not here to defend the album, but simply curious why others don’t like it. Is it the production? The album concept? Too short? Are the songs simply not good? Letdown after wasting light?

I have 3 daughters (12, 10, and 4) who love the Foos and Nirvana. I have a Dave Grohl Playlist that has the Foos, Nirvana with Dave, QOTSA with Dave, and Them Crooked Vultures on it. As soon as they get in my truck that's what they want on. Got to keep rock alive some how. At the moment my 4 yo loves No One Knows by QOTSA. She's asks me to play the "dot do do do" song. She wants to be a drummer like Dave. Bc of the new album any time I'm at home and tell my dog to "get back", one of the girls yells from the other room, "hear that boy, someone threw away your favorite toy for good". Just wanted to see who all has indoctrinated their kids with the Foos and other Dave projects.

Right now my 12 yo fav songs are Low and White Limo. 10 yo favs are Arlandria and Rope. 4 yo favs are All my Life and No One Knows by QOTSA.

What can we expect?

Just wondering if anyone thinks there might be a pop-up show this weekend around Bottle Rock? I see the Fillmore is open on Sunday night and that would be a perfect venue. This is more just hopeful spitballing than anything else and I am not dropping any hints at all. Just curious if anyone thinks there might be something else happening around the Bay this weekend that's all

One more reason for me to be pumped for this attraction. Unfortunately Electric Mayhem will not be covering a Foos song for the in ride track list.
