Numotion - and possibly contacting the media

Hi All - I’ve already posted recently, but want to try to get the media involved. They need to be called out publicly in my humble opinion. It is likely too late for my friend to get what she needed from them to make the end of her life more comfortable, but what I’m reading is that so many of you have had similar horrible experiences. People’s lives shouldn’t be more uncomfortable or difficult because of their negligence and lack of care. If I manage to get the media involved in any way, if any of you would be interested is talking to the media, let me know and I will send them your way if I get them on board.

Also, to be clear, while some people that came out were clearly clueless on what was going on and why they were there - and I blame their higher ups for that, not them necessarily a there were others who clearly did care and knew what they were doing technically but were not at all given what they needed to do the job. My issue is not for most of the people that work for Numotion, it’s with the people that own the company and high level management.

NuMotion should be ashamed of themselves

I’m currently working with a client who has become a friend and her experience with Numotion has been infuriating. For around 6 months they’ve been taking their sweet time fixing anything that needs to be fixed. Most of the time - when someone has come out - they either don’t know what they are there for or don’t have the correct parts. The tilt on her wheelchair has never worked right and they keep telling us that her neurologist needs to sign off on fixing something that shouldn’t have needed fixing in the first place and he HAS signed off and when they did bring the parts they didn’t have all the parts. Now they are saying it will be October before someone can come out to fix the tilt, and she literally may be gone by October! Despite her OT trying to work with them, and calls and emails, they never seem to know what’s going on and can’t get anything done. It’s absolutely insane and infuriating that they can do this to people who are literally dying much less to people who literally NEED their wheelchairs to function.

Blood teat/needles in veins Phobia and a game changer!

Hey all! So I’m super phobic about blood tests and needles in veins and will avoid blood tests at all costs unless essentially forced on me. I saw an ad for rhythm health, and asked my doctor about it. He said he looked into it and was a bit skeptical but if it got me to get him blood work then to go for it. It was about $100 total (which is about what I paid for labs out of pocket the last time) and really was as quick and easy AND pain free as they said. I just got my results back and will be discussing them with my doctor, but from what I remember from the last time, results seem pretty similar which is a good sign!

I’m so excited because this is literally is a game changer for me - with this (and I think there’s at least one other similar company and will soon be more if there aren’t already, most likely) - I can and will actually willingly get my blood tested!

The only thing I’ll mention, is that if your phobia is more blood related than needle related, you can still absolutely use something like this, but I’d have someone else do it for you. There’s only a tiny bit of blood when you remove the collection device, but there still is some.

Alternative Dating Apps

Hey all! Since I’m on the apps (currently FB dating, Bumble, Hinge, Tinder, OK cupid) I keep getting ads for other ones - has anyone that does not live in a city (I’m in a Suburban area) had any better luck with any of the other ones? For context, I’m 45f, and am looking for more than just casual sex, but figured I’d give different ones a try.

Hinge Text Limits

Does anyone else get annoyed that Hinge has such low text limits? I was updating my profile and Hinge AI suggested that I add more to clarify, and I’m like Hinge, I would, but you literally won’t allow it. Don’t gaslight me 😂 We’re in our 40’s and beyond - we’ve lived a bit of life here, we need more room. And I know some will say no one reads them, but people do, the people that don’t are not the ones we want if we are serious about finding someone.

I live 10 min from Longwood and have a membership but apparently for Longwood regular members have to wait for tickets to open to the public and by this am when they opened they were already sold out 😭 If anyone does have the fancy membership and managed to snag tickets and might be willing to let one go, I’d be grateful! Hell, if anyone knows how to reach their manager, I’d do merch, I’d drive them around and show them the area, make them a home cooked meal, just to get to see them live so close to my home!
