Can someone enlighten me on how my ex found and blocked my account?
Now sorry if this sounds silly, stupid or whatever, but today I did something I do from time to time, checking on the account of my ex, not to contact him or anything, just to stare at that screen for 5 seconds then move on with my life, I know its unhealthy but I improved pretty well at holding myself back from doing that to the point I went from checking every day to every week over the course of a year and a half, anyways something that really confused me happened: Suddenly he didnt show up in search results, I checked on another account and he showed up just fine, confirming that I was blocked, here are the confusing parts to me:
Last time I checked was a week ago, and it showed just fine, meaning it's a recent blocking being done.
I created this account long after we broke up, we never followed or messaged each other in Instagram before because I didn't use to use it back then.
The phone number associated with my current and only account is a brand new phone number I got after we broke up as well, so no contact information connection is possible.
We had 0 mutual friends or any kind of connection.
My Instagram is not and was never linked to any platform he knows I have, i.e Steam, Reddit, Youtube, so even if he found these out which is very possible, it's impossible that he access to my Instagram via there.
So how did he find my account? Did he just type my name on the search bar and I showed up? There is probably at least 1000 people sharing the same name as me it doesn't feel possible at all.
I am like super curious how does that occur, can anyone enlighten me? Geniunely.
