After leaving 4 seasons the first time after getting mystic nymph the grappling hook doesn't work at all. Is it supposed to?

I shower every morning and if I want to do anything social after work I feel like I have to shower again unless it's going to a dive bar and even then I don't like it. My hair is long blonde and very fine.
