Moving to Dallas - looking around White Rock
We’re looking to purchase a home in the white rock area of Dallas after spending several years in the northern suburbs and looking for some insights on safety of some of the surrounding neighborhoods.
We love the homes and feel of Forest Hills (so many mature trees!), but the houses we’ve looked at that are in our range ($400-600k) are at the top end of our budget.
I’ve seen a few houses that are more mid-range to our budget in the Claremont/white rock hills area closer to Ferguson road - but I’m not sure how safe that area is. We’ve driven through some of the streets and they seem safe and quiet during the day, but would love to hear any perspectives of folks who currently live/have lived in that area or near that area.
The allure for us moving to White Rock is that we are regularly driving to the lake to walk our active dog, going on runs, biking - but there will also be times we likely need to settle for a run or walk with the dog around the immediate neighborhood we land in, so we want to make sure it’s safe.
