I was wondering if anyone had any experience with their “electrical associate/apprentice” position. I know they are union under 613 from what ive been told. I’ve been a maintenance electrician for about 5 years and applied for this position. Seems like a good deal get to go back an really hone in my skills through there paid for classes.

Has anyone done one of their events? They have one int ATL in October it says ibjjf rules but then when I look it up it says I don’t need to weigh in with my gi. Tried contacting them for some questions but never heard back.
Im a white belt in the beginners division of a fuji comp. My only other opponent is a black belt in judo. Other than pull guard what’s some tips here? Im not crying sandbag because honestly i dont care, I do this for fun. Whats some advice when competing against judo guys.
Im trying to join with advanced program as a apprentice 3 due to me having an associates in electrical and 4 years of electrical maintenance experience. The school said I could but after finding out i had to wait 6 months for insurance i had to put it on pause due to my wife about to give birth. Now that my wife is about to go back to work and can get insurance for her and the baby im gonna try again. Any 613 apprentices here? How is work above Atlanta? I live in cartersville
