I’ve worked in the automotive industry for a year now and it’s not getting me anywhere. I need to jump ship. In the past I got my MMC and TWIC card to be a merchant seafarer but I’ve only had two interviews and two rejections for it.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with their “electrical associate/apprentice” position. I know they are union under 613 from what ive been told. I’ve been a maintenance electrician for about 5 years and applied for this position. Seems like a good deal get to go back an really hone in my skills through there paid for classes.
I’m starting my first job as a 1st year apprentice and we don’t have onsite parking we get shuttled to our site. I wanted to know where do we store our keys and stuff at. Will there be lockers or something?
Not giving any details about what job/company but my first foreman from a service job wanted me back and sent a request to get me but was basically pushed back on it. I'm at a big data center job so to be transferred to a smaller job seems to me to be the reason.
The first job was an absolute good dream job in terms of there being journeyman, foreman would explain things. Here it's 90% temps and the foreman don't even explain anything to me.
What can I do if there's anything to do? If I dragged and there happened to be a call for that job within the same company could I take it? I DID NOT AND WILL NOT ask the foreman or even suggest it. I know that is frowned upon. Just curious if there any options.
